السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Prostration while performing the night prayer (Salatul-Witr) at the latest hours of every night,
Is the closest one can be to Allah as mentioned in the following Hadiths:
The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Make Witr as your last prayer at night."
[Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol.2 Hadith No.998]
Allah's Messenger (saw) said: "The closest that the Lord comes to the slave is in the last portion of the night. So if you are able to be among those who remember Allah in this hour then be among them.

If you can't perform the night prayer at a late hour, you can do it during the time between Isha prayers and Fajr prayers.
May Allah fill your heart with Iman and lead you to all good deeds.
