one of the Greatest Islamic goals is to make all people as one familly Allah says :
(يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا)
That means that Allah created people from a man and a woman and then made people into nations and tribes so that they ( people ) get to know each other .
But if you mean men and women staying together in one place , talk , eat and sleep and deal with each others without any limitations that`s not accepted in Islam.because they are not mahrams( like brothers and sisters ,uncles,aunts ....etc) to one another .
