Isnaad

Isnaad Means chain of narration of a hadeeth.

Sufyaan ath-Thawree rahimahullah said
"The isnaad is the weapon of the believer. So if there is no waepon, with what will he fight"

Ibn al-Mubarak rahimahullah said:
"The isnaad for me is from the Deen, If there were no isnaad, then who-soever wanted would relate, whatever they wanted"

Ibn Seereen rahimahullah said:
"They never used to ask about the isnaad, but when the civil war broke out they said: Name to us your men; those who belonged to ahl-us-Sunnah, their Ahadeeths were accepted and those who were innovators, their Ahaadeeth were rejected"
