What can we do about the slaughter of Muslims in Palestine and around the world?

What can we do about the slaughter of Muslims in Palestine and around the world?
What is our stance concerning the slaughter of Muslims in Palestine and other parts of the world that is happening right now, where houses are being destroyed, farms are being wrecked, children are being killed, the wounded are being detained in the streets, houses are being bombarded and people are being prevented by the Jews and others, from buying the food and drink that they need? What can I, as a Muslim, do?

Praise be to Allaah.

1- You have to make du’aa’, and recite du’a’ al-qunoot in your salaah (prayer).

2- Collect charity and send it through trustworthy channels.

3- Support the weak and oppressed in all ways, including the media and the internet.

4- Get scholars, daa’iyahs, khateebs and writers to explain the oppression that is happening and the negligence on the part of the ummah, and to mobilize the ummah to defend the holy places.

5- Check on one’s own intentions with regard to fighting for the sake of Allaah, and see whether he is applying the hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Whoever dies without having fought for the sake of Allaah or having had the intention of doing so, has died following one of the branches of hypocrisy.” (Saheeh Muslim, no. 3533)

6- Pursuing all the means of building up material and moral strength, in preparation for meeting the enemy (in battle).

7- Reminding oneself and others of the virtues of martyrdom for the sake of Allaah and studying the rulings on jihad, and not having an attachment to this world.

8- Doing as much damage as possible to the enemies who are in a state of war with us, by boycotting their products, attacking them verbally and in writing to humiliate and annoy them, and to point out their kufr and shirk, and their insults to Allaah, His Messenger and the believers, publishing as much as possible in the audio-visual and print media about this serious topic whilst also connecting that to Islamic belief and the words of Allaah and His Messenger,

We ask Allaah the Exalted and All-Powerful to support His religion and cause His word to prevail.

I´m a little disappointed! Cuz you can hear so many people talking about the bad situation the ummah is in and how sorry they are and always say: oh we can not do anything accept dua... but when solutions about what can be done are offerd no one seems to be interested...

Sweet sister..chill. The pain you feel is what we all feel. I really don't feel like being blown to bits, not yet anyway.

Do not be disappointed in people..they always disappoint..put your faith in Allah subhana talla. I Love because He has given me the strenght to love. I think of the day of Judgement and oh how I will have to answer. PM please.

Jabba, why this attitude bro. if someone said something which u dint approve of, just ignore them and practise restraint. Don't let ur emotions overcome u. We are all bros and sis in faith and trying to learn and teach one another. Thats all.

Salaam,

To the newer members...a little while back we had a forum that was jumping. Everyone was like a family. We spent hours on TTI. We then went through a period of some members being very judgemental. There was little room for dialogue. Many of our members disappeared. It is a blessing to see Sister Jabba here. She is funny and intellectual and straight to the point. And she knows how much I love her. Let her vent. Baby girl I am glad to see ya back.

first of all I´m really sorry... My problem is that I´m too emotional .. My intention was not to blame u guys so I´m sorry once again and asking u guys to forgive me :shymuslima1:.....

second, if u want to do jihad it does not mean to get urself a gone and go to the battlefield... even when u teach a muslim who don´t know anything about Islam and who is to engaged to the world, then u did something for the whole muslims with making the ummah bigger=stronger (even if it is just one person) that is Jihad.....

to sister jabba... I want to be usefull and helpfull for my nation but not with blowing myself up!... What did I do to deserve to hear that?........ I don´t know if u care but u really offended me with ur stupid comment....

Suicide bombings weren't from SALAFIYYAH, and this is JUDGEMENTAL.

Assalamu'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh.

:salam2:

some suggestions was directed to the muslims living outside and some was directed to the muslims who are in the conflict .....but it is not one word mentioned about suicide bombings.......... I don´t believe that my brothers/sisters are able to do that...

Thats why we are in this situation! People wont listen or do what is the right thing. They are happier doing the wrong things.

So, we have to try our best to educate ourselves and those around us to the Quran and Sunnah , its the only way forward

For American Muslims: (Non-Americans are also Welcome)

December 29, 2008

With the Israeli declaration of war on Gaza, the suffering of Palestinian civilians has gone from severe, due to the occupation and blockade, to intolerable. It is the moral responsibility of American Muslims, whose country plays an important role in the conflict, to ensure that US policies further the cause of fairness and justice to all involved. ISNA urges American Muslims to play a positive role in promoting the cause of peace by:

1.

Voicing your concerns to your congressional representatives, the Secretary of State and the President.
2.

Voicing your concerns to the incoming administration. President-elect Obama and his team are "open for questions" at the web-site: www.change.gov
3.

Engaging in urgent, peaceful action with others to witness to the suffering this war is inflicting. Candlelight vigils are planned for a number of cities.
4.

Learning more about the conflict and about American, Palestinian and Israeli groups who are working for a just peace. One interfaith group that includes many American Muslim organizations is the National Interreligious Leadership Initiative for Peace in the Middle East: http://www.nili-mideastpeace.org/.
5.

Engage in informed dialogue with other Americans, especially Jewish Americans, so that religious differences do not become a source of civil discord and division, but an opportunity to learn the fears and misconceptions that others have about the Holy Land and its peoples.

ISNA requests our Imams and community leaders to urge our congregations this Friday to give generously to charities working to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza:

1.

Islamic Relief: http://www.irw.org/campaigns/palestinecrisis
2.

American Task Force on Palestine: http://www.americantaskforce.org
3.

United Palestinian Appeal: http://www.helpupa.com/
4.

Palestine Red Crescent Society: http://www.palestinercs.org/news_details.aspx?nid=39

*ISNA does not endorse or recommend specific charities but lists these for information only.

as i attended salatul jumma today, the shaykh delivering the khutba today mentioned what i now see to be the biggest reason as to why this is happening or why muslims aren't doing enough. firstly, we all know that the biggest reason why this goes on is because we need to return to our deen. but another problem is that many muslims fail to see or realize that jerusalem ( al quds wal baitul maqdis ) is just as important as masjid al-haram and the masjid of the Prophet :saw: . if those two sites were in danger, you'd better believe that we'd do everything in our power to protect it, we need to have the same emotion for masjid al-aqsa as we do for the kaaba and masjid nabawi.

In the first 24 hours of the murderous Israeli assault against Gaza, more than 280 Palestinians--including 20 children under the age of 16--were killed and at least 644 were wounded according to Gaza health official Dr. Moaiya Hassanain.

As the massive bombing campaign continued, the Associated Press reported that "Israel's Cabinet authorized the military to call up 6,500 reserve soldiers for a possible ground invasion and moved tanks, infantry and armored units to the Gaza border."

The bombing rampage began as thousands of Palestinian children were in the streets on their way home from school. Palestinian parents were running frantically in the streets looking for their children as U.S.-provided F-16s and Apache helicopters rained down more than 100 tons bombs and missiles on Gaza.

The U.S.-backed Israeli Occupation Force destroyed every security station in Gaza. AFP reported: "There was no space left in the morgue and bodies were piled up in the emergency room and in the corridors, as many of the wounded screamed in pain."

Because of the U.S.-backed Israeli blockade and strangulation of the people of Gaza for the past 18 months there is little or no medicine to treat the wounded, electricity for hospitals, or food or clean water for much of the population.

An Israeli military spokesperson said, "The operation is ‘only just beginning’." The Israeli Defense Ministry said in a statement: "The action will continue and will widen as much as is demanded according to the evaluation of the situation by the high command of the army."

be strong

:salam2:

first of all I´m really sorry...

I don´t know if u care but u really offended me with ur stupid comment....

sister Safiya, do not be sad
no one is blaming you, no one should!
you have given a very good solutions to Ummah if they follow they will defeat their enemies,
you are here among brothers and sisters, and you should knew my dear little sister that people differs, different attitude and different personalities, you have said what you truly feels, and i would like to tell you that i feel the same way too. I totally realize now that Jihad is a most, but it is should be under certain procedures, we need a leadership!

we should truly be one Ummah, and i feel that this is also coming inshaAllah, what our brothers and sisters in Istanbul, Turkey did yesterday, in their one million demonstration and protest against war on Gaza, made me feel that we truly started to united, Gaza is not Arab only, it is Islamic country and it is what Islam is all about, no nationalities, not geographic borders, Islam is universal

also Being Emotional is not a problem at all, not being emotional is the problem, you have a very tender heart. it is hard on Islam's enemies , so tender and soft towards your sisters and brothers Muslims. stay like that

well done Safiya, i am not saying so because i am your friend, i would say so even if i do not know
i love you for the sake of Allah
