what do you do with information obtained from TTI

I am just curious and by no means trying to analyze anyone.

My self I read, learn if something is new to me or a correction, if it ibadaat or something to do with belief in Islam, I research it in the scholarly works or ask an Imam and then once confirmed I begin to learn/apply to my life.

So far mashAllah, brothers and sisters have enlightened me with much. Some sad, some happy, some crazy, some intelligent, some clear, some confusing but all are Great.

As for stories love them, for I never find those sheiks that like to sit and tell stories. That is the trade off by living in the USA. When I say stories I mean those about scholars and those that are truthful, that relate to Islam especially Taqwa and righteousness.

Finally, there is the news, those questions that have you think, and that sense of love for one another for the sake of Allah.

I love to email these to friends and contacts, in sha Allah we all can benefit from them.

jazakum allahu khaira

Amatur-Rahman
salaam,

On TTI i've found things that increase my iman, things that increase my love of muslims for the sake of Allah, things that made me laugh and smile, things that made me sad for my brothers and sisters, things that are infuriating to read, things that are a waste of time and things that're better left where i've seen them. All in all a good mix Alhamdullillah.

For me, sometimes its the best place to be.

wassalam.

:salam2:: brother.......sound advice

Volume 1, Book 3, Number 98:

With all due respect perhaps you need to be advised of this fatwaa. For I fear that others may not know this and they need to as well.

Seeking knowledge from students of knowledge
*Please appropriately reference this fatwa to: www.fatwa-online.com, thankyou!*
Question: There are some students of knowledge who are keen to attend lessons given by (other) students of knowledge without giving importance to attending the lessons of the scholars who have managed to gather (knowledge) that which the students of knowledge have not. So what is your guidance (in this matter), your excellency, and may Allaah protect and preserve you?

Response:That which I am of the opinion of is that it is befitting for a person to seek knowledge from a mature (fully-qualified) scholar. This is because some students of knowledge put themselves forward to teach, and they understand an issue from amongst (many) issues, either in (the field of) hadeeth, or fiqh or 'aqeedah completely and revise it, so if an amateur student of knowledge was to hear him, he would assume that this student of knowledge is from amongst the major scholars. However, if he was to divert as little as a fingertip away from the topic which he has fully grasped and revised, then you will find he does not (really) have any knowledge.

So because of this, it is obligatory upon the amateur student of knowledge to seek knowledge at the hands of scholars who are known to be authoritative because of their knowledge, trustworthiness and (practicing their) religion.

so advise me not, you are not a known Faqee. But it doesn't hurt to remind one another, jazaka Allahu khaira. Keep that in mind when addressing in posts.

I just wanted to socialize with other members to see if there is benefit from these threads/posts. Aside from doing dawaa, which we are all obligated to do.

SubhanAllaah! Good thread brother! I used to be very active on this forum. Initially this forum helped me Alhamdulillaah but then there were threads which were not really informative and too much arguments without knowledge and i myself was no way educated in even tiny matters. So i started visiting the sites of people of knowledge and scholars. SubhanAllaah!

I would just recommend people to argue less and learn more about the deen..
