Like over here does bukhari mean the same thing ?

yes.. Al-Bukhari is "Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismaeel bin al-Mughirah al-Bukhari was born on 13th of Shawwal 194 AH in Bukhara. a town in the eastern part of Turkestan."

He along with "Imam Muslim" were the best two men at thier time to gather Hadith(s) that are Sahih.. there's no single scholar that doesnt trust them, thats why in arabic, for certain hadiths when thier are Narrated by Bikhari and Muslim we say "Sahihain" which is 2 for Sahih.

So muslim and Bukhari were just the ones who recorded the sayings of the prophet ?

Sahih Bukhari

These prophetic traditions were collected by the Muslim scholar Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari (810-870) and published during his lifetime. He was a scholar from Bukhara, hence the name by which he is known. Imam Bukhari belonged to the Shafiie School and was overwhelmed by its juristic methodologies as recorded by Ibn Hajar. He traveled widely throughout the Abbasid empire, collecting traditions. He is said to have spent sixteen years writing down those traditions he thought trustworthy.

Sahih Muslim

Sahih Muslim (Arabic: صحيح مسلم, ṣaḥīḥ muslim) is one of the Six major collections of the hadith, oral traditions relating to the words and deeds of the Islamic Prophet Muhammed . It is the second most famous hadith collection among Sunni Muslims. It was collected by Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj, also known as Imam Muslim.
