Thank You Allah!
Assalamu alaykum
This question has been bothering me for quite a while now. I'm going to try to get everything out, so I may say some wrong things. Please do let me know if I'm going a bit over the top.
So in the quran it says,
"Did there not come to you a warner? They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him..." Surah Mulk
But what if the message of Islam never came to you? For example, many people in poor countries like Africa have never heard of Islam. And it isn't really their fault. I mean, where we all live, there are SO many ways to learn about Islam, but in other places there really isn't. So will those people go to jahanam? Like lets say a person in Africa believes that there is a Being that has created everything. They don't know who this Being is, because they haven't really heard much about Him. And if they don't know Allah, most likely they don't know or believe in Prophet Muhammad (saw). Which makes them non-muslims, am I right? So is it not enough to just believe? Do they have to specifically believe in Allah and His messanger, and the Day of judgment, and all that to go to jannah? It scares me sometimes because it's really not those people's fault. Did a message come to them? No. A warner? No. Do they have any way to gain knowledge about Islam? In a poor country like that, I highly doubt it.
I hope someone can shed some light on this topic. Forgive me if I said anything wrong, and please let me know as well. I can go a little too far sometimes.
