What if a warner never came to you?

Muslim_Gurl

Thank You Allah!
Assalamu alaykum

This question has been bothering me for quite a while now. I'm going to try to get everything out, so I may say some wrong things. Please do let me know if I'm going a bit over the top.

So in the quran it says,

"Did there not come to you a warner? They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him..." Surah Mulk

But what if the message of Islam never came to you? For example, many people in poor countries like Africa have never heard of Islam. And it isn't really their fault. I mean, where we all live, there are SO many ways to learn about Islam, but in other places there really isn't. So will those people go to jahanam? Like lets say a person in Africa believes that there is a Being that has created everything. They don't know who this Being is, because they haven't really heard much about Him. And if they don't know Allah, most likely they don't know or believe in Prophet Muhammad (saw). Which makes them non-muslims, am I right? So is it not enough to just believe? Do they have to specifically believe in Allah and His messanger, and the Day of judgment, and all that to go to jannah? It scares me sometimes because it's really not those people's fault. Did a message come to them? No. A warner? No. Do they have any way to gain knowledge about Islam? In a poor country like that, I highly doubt it.

I hope someone can shed some light on this topic. Forgive me if I said anything wrong, and please let me know as well. I can go a little too far sometimes.

The fate of kuffaar who did not hear the message of Islam

Someone has asked me this question (she is about to
become a muslimah). Her statement: 'A lot of others will never meet a Muslim in person. Will they be held responsible for their ignorance? What exactly does this mean: "After the revelation of the Quran who ever receives this message & does not abide by it is a non-believer"?
i. Who is considered to have received the message?
ii. Isn't it possible for people to have not received the message even though the Quran is in existence?'

Praise be to Allaah.

It is part of the justice of Allaah that He does not punish any people until He has first sent a warning to them and unless there is evidence against them. Allaah does not treat anybody unfairly. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “… And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning).” [al-Israa’ 17:15].

In his tafseer (commentary) on this aayah, Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “These words, ‘…And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning)’ tell us of the justice of Allaah, may He be exalted, and that He does not punish anyone until after He has established evidence against him by sending a Messenger to him. This is like the aayat (interpretation of the meaning): ‘… Every time a group is cast therein [into Hell], its keeper will ask, “Did no warner come to you?” They will say, “Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: ‘Allaah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error.’”’ [al-Mulk 67:8] and: ‘And those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups, till, when they reach it, the gates thereof will be opened (suddenly like a prison at the arrival of its prisoners). And its keepers will say, “Did not the Messengers come to you from yourselves, - reciting to you the Verses of your Lord, and warning you of the Meeting of this Day of yours?” They will say: “Yes, but the Word of torment has been justified against the disbelievers!”’ [al-Zumar 39:71]…”

A person who has never heard of Islam or the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and who has never heard the message in its correct and true form, will not be punished by Allaah if he dies in a state of kufr (disbelief). If it were asked what his fate will be, the answer will be that Allaah will test him on the Day of Resurrection: if he obeys, he will enter Paradise and if he disobeys he will enter Hell. The evidence (daleel) for this is the hadeeth of al-Aswad ibn Saree’, who reported that the Prophet of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are four (who will protest) to Allaah on the Day of Resurrection: the deaf man who never heard anything, the insane man, the very old man, and the man who died during the fatrah (the interval between the time of ‘Eesaa (Jesus, upon whom be peace) and the time of Muhammad SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)). The deaf man will say, ‘O Lord, Islam came but I never heard anything.’ The insane man will say, ‘O Lord, Islam came but the children ran after me and threw stones at me.’ The very old man will say, ‘O Lord, Islam came but I did not understand anything.’ The man who died during the fatrah will say, ‘O Lord, no Messenger from You came to me.’ He will accept their promises of obedience, then word will be sent to them to enter the Fire. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if they enter it, it will be cool and safe for them.”

According to another report, he said: “Whoever enters it, it will be cool and safe for him, and whoever does not enter it will be dragged to it.” (The hadeeth was reported by Imaam Ahmad and Ibn Hibbaan, and deemed saheeh by al-Albaani, Saheeh al-Jaami’, 881).

Everyone who hears the message of Islam in a sound and correct form (and rejects it), will have evidence aginst him. Whoever dies without having heard the message, or having heard it in a distorted form, then his case is in the hands of Allaah. Allaah knows best about His creation, and He will never treat anyone unfairly. And Allaah is All-Seer of His slaves.

'Millat "IBRAHIM" {AleyhiSalaam}
wa aleykum salaam;

Forgive me if I said anything wrong, and please let me know as well. I can go a little too far sometimes.

i think your saying is not wrong; ( as you have put).

Now concerning to those "Dhikr' has not reached then No one knows the truth ila Huwa (Allah)
you may or they may claim as Not here on earth but there the All Knowing All Hearing is there to Judge.

Yet let us go back to Surat Mulk.

(67:8) as though it will burst with rage. Every time a multitude is cast into it, its keepers will ask them: “Did no warner come to you?” *14

*14

The real nature of this question will not be of a question that the keepers of Hell would like to ask them whether a warner from Allah had come to them or not, but the object would be to make them realize that no injustice had been done to them by casting them into Hell. They would try to make them confess that Allah had not kept them uninformed and unwarned: He had sent the Prophets to them; He had informed them of the truth and of the Right Way; He had warned them that if they followed a way other than the Right Way, it would lead them to Hell, in which they had been cast. But they had not listened to the Prophets. Hence, they rightly deserved the punishment which was being meted out to them at that time.
This thing has been pointed out over and over again in the Qur'an that the test for which Allah has sent man in the world is not being conducted by keeping man absolutely unaware and uninformed of the requirements of the test only to see whether he found the right way by himself or not; but Allah has made the most appropriate arrangements that could possibly be trade of guiding him to the Right Way, and it is that He has raised the Prophets and sent down the Books. Now the test of man lies in this whether he accepts the Prophets and the Books brought by them and adopts the straight way, or turns away from them to follow his own desires, whites and speculations. Thus, the Prophethood, in fact, is Allah's argument which He has established against than and on its acceptance or rejection depends his whole future life. No one, after the appointment of the Prophets, can present the excuse that he remained unaware of the Truth, or that he has been caught and put to the hard test unawares, or that he is being punished while he was innocent. This theme has been presented in countless different ways in the Qur'an; for instance, see AI-Baqarah: 213, and E.N. 230 on it; An-Nisa': 41-42, 165 and E N.'s 64 and 208; Al-An`am: 130-131, and E.N.'s 98-100; Bani Isra'il: 15 and E.N. 17; Ta Ha: 134; Al-Qasas 47, 59, 65 and E.N.'s 66, 83; Fatir: 37; AlMu'min: 50 and E.N. 66.

first it is up to us present alive Muslims whom we have seen and hear through various sources telling the Truth about Kuran.....
Has a Warner COME DO WE NOT HAVE KURAN?left by him?
and what are we now doing?

we can then think of those at Africa ( even Christians are there and their only is to make everyone realize that there is a DAY OF JUDGMENT) or they Christians missionary teaching verse verse?

You can make out Why Humans have reached to such High technology?

TV, MOBILES, PC and or Laptops plus walkie talkies plus plus...OF COURSE TO SEE AND HEAR so when
Verse

(67:9) They will say: “Yes, a warner came to us, but we gave the lie to him and said: ‘Allah has revealed nothing. You are surely in huge error.’

(67:10) They will say: ‘If we had only listened and understood, *16 we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.’”

*16 "Had we only listened or understood":
"Had we listened to the Prophets with attention as seekers after Truth or used our intellect to understand what actually was the message they were presenting before us."

Here listening has been given priority over understanding, the reason being that the pre-requisite of obtaining guidance is to listen to what the Prophet teaches (or to read if it is in the written form, like a seeker after Truth). To ponder over it in an attempt to understand the truth is secondary. Without the Prophet's guidance tnan cannot by himself reach the Truth directly by using his intellect and common sense.

i give you an example.

suppose you receive a letter o unknown language to you;will not bother but when seeing figures $999999.99; you will surely find a translator; why?
and why not find a translator of Kuran?

[al-Israa’ 17:15].

(17:15) Whosoever adopts the righteous way, his righteous conduct will be for his own good, and whosoever goes astray, his deviation shall bring its consequences on him. *15 No bearer will bear the burden of another. *16 And We do not inflict punishment until We have sent a Messenger *17 (to make Truth distinct from falsehood. )
*17

This is another doctrine which has been impressed on the minds by the Quran in different ways. This is to emphasize the basic importance that a Messenger has in the dispensation of Divine justice because this is determined in the light of the Message brought by him. This will be employed as an argument in favour of or against the concerned people. Otherwise the infliction of punishment on the people would be unjust for in that case they could argue that they should not be punished as the knowledge of the righteous way had not been conveyed to them. But after the Message had been conveyed to a particular people, and they had rejected it, there would be left. no excuse for them.
It is an irony that instead of accepting the Message some foolish people are misled by reading verses
like these and they ask such absurd questions:

"What will be the position of those, who might not have received the message of any Prophet?"
The wise course for such persons would have been to ask themselves what their own position will be on the Day of Judgment, because they themselves had received the Message. As regards other people, Allah knows best who has received the Message, and when, how and to what extent and what attitude a certain person adopted towards it. In short, Allah alone is aware of whether a particular person received the Message in such a way as to fulfil the required condition for punishment.

Let us hope we all benefit from Kuram Kareem.
