Ok, maybe its not THAT urgent but the other day we had takeaway and a member of my family brought two cans of..coca cola..

we all know that coco cola helps israel.. now what should I do? I told my fam that not to bring coke again etc. now the two cans of coke are in my fridge..just waiting there..what should I do?

shall i drink them?? or should i pour them down the sink?? when i wanna drink them i feel guilt because of what the palestinians go through - it would be as if i'm participating and it would also be as if i'm a hypocrite by telling others one thing and not doing it myself.

and if i pour it..would i be wasting the drink. haram??

i know this discussion sounds silly but what do u advise me to do??

I would phone a sheikh and ask him..but i may sound silly and be embarrassed if u know what i mean.

Jazzakhallaah for helping me :hijabi:

Just drink it. Try not spending money with them because of what they do with it. It is not haraam to drink their products. You already have so just drink it. The money they already have from the purchase.

Sister! DUMP IT DOWN THE SINK, WALLAHI brother, drinking it is only a Whispering, and by drinking it, that'll make you feel upset and guilty that you drunk it.

OPEN THE BOTTLES, SAY "IN ALLAH TA ALLA'S NAME!" AND DUMP IT INTO THE SINK!

DOING SO WILL RELEIVE YOU OF YOU'RE FEELINGS, PLEASE ALLAH TA ALLA, AND MAKE YOU NOT REGRET WHAT YOU JUST DID!

Remeber, the Prophet sall-Allaahu `alayhi wasallam had yahood try to kill him, yet he still did business with them. What is worse to the Ummah then trying to take the life of the Prophet, sall-Allaahu `alayhi wasallam?

I agree with akhi pcozzy. Or better yet, use it to loosen some rusty screws somewhere, that stuff is designed for such uses! Or clean your decade old pennies with it, then sell them on ebay for more than there worth. Coke is a household product as much as it is a beverage!

my suggestion...pour them down the sink! it's not worth it ukhti. the least we could do is show our brothers and sisters that we are able to boycott israeli goods and services. so please don't desire yahudi made stuff. stay away from it inshaAllah. i mean islamically you can drink it, no problem but just cause we are at war with them, don't. asalamu alaykumw rwb.

Another use would be to pour the coke on your windshield when there is wax causing the windshield to have a haze when raining. Another would be car battery posts build up of beige stuff, you pour it on and it dissolves.

we would love to do business with yahud as along as they dont build their arsenals with our money. circumstances have changed with the time so we have to analyse the situation and respond accordingly. if we keep on doing business with them this would fill their pockets, which would help them aquire best of the weapons available to kill our brothers. i dont mean to say that we should deviate form sunnah. at times Prophet(PBUH) did business with yahud but he(PBUH) also made yahud to leave Madina. so this arguement that Prophet(PBUH) did business with them therefore we should also keep doing business with them, is not relevant.

May Allah guide us to the right path

True akhi, but boycotting is a matter of personal choice. Only when the leaders make it waajib is everyone obliged to do the same. Inshaa' Allaah, I would hope to see the Muslim rulers do that, and soon at that. What could the nations possibly need from the filthy zionist state?

Was-salaam.

Akhi, which leaders?

:wasalam:

As-salaamu `alaykum.

If the ruler of a certain Muslim land orders for the boycott of some country or company, then in that case what is upon the nation? Collaborative efforts like this are far more effective in boycotting then one or two individuals from a community or family boycotting Israel, because the goods are still present. The filthy zionist state would suffer harder if their products are barred as imports. I can't see what big a difference would be made, if their products are sold yet people are still buying them.

Akhi, its matter of consciense than fatwas. we all know where lies the strength of these Zionists. its there economic power which has enslaved the entire world. even if every single person on the face of this earth buys these products, I would still boycot the goods made by the companies which support this genocide. majority is no criteria to judge between truth and falsehood.

Akhi, that is fine, and I agree. But their economic power will detriment even more if it is a national boycott. And as you stated, it is their economic power that has enslaved the entire world.

Akhi, i wish our leaders had done so. but they have failed to do so. like always they did not respect our wishes. i dont blame them they are mirror images of our societies. so we should start of with ourselves and with continous and sincere efforts we would be able to create difference. The most precious thing in the eyes of the Allah is peace of all kinds of this world. he has taken this responsiblity upon himself for maintaining the peace of this world but he would not do it by himself but would delegate this responsiblity to his Khalifas. whoever we are, we should strive to reclaim our responsiblities as vicegerents of Allah by submiting our wills to him.

May Allah guide us Allah to the right path and give the ability to distinguish between right and wrong and give courage to submit to him completely.

Salaam,

It took one believer to change the world. She obeyed her husband and Believed immediately on her husband's calling.

We have examples of what to do. We have examples on how to live. We have to uphold each other. We forget how strong we are.

Since the Gaza carnage..I have witnessed Islamic unity. I reader fewer posts with fitna. I sense a brotherhood that is ready to unite.

I am riding the wave.

As for coke well..cleans batteries..just pour on the whitish gunk...it should not be ingested because it is used for industrial cleaning purposes. youtube has a video on it.

think: those that support the Zionists want us to drink poison.

salam alaykum

interesting lecture by Abdur Rahim Green on youtube on coca cola muslims

:salam2:

Dear sister,
i see most of the brothers and sisters suggested to throw it out. i would love to do so. after knowing that it is a jews company, i already gave up drinking it. One thing, there is a very interesting lecture by the british scholar abdur rahim Green who is a convert muslim. I love all his lectures. He contributed so many things to our deen. May Allah shower his rahma on him. To watch the video just go to youtube and type ABDUR RAHIM GREEN then you can see all his lectures on islam. there you can find about the topic " coca cola" or you can just type Coca cola muslims. i am sure you will love it.
