What would you prefer..........

We have been taking alot about hijab lately and sisters who dont wear should etc... I wear mine's but if you saw or know a muslim sister that is not doing things that our good in Islam like (going out with men, etc..) would you still want that sister to wear hijab?why or why not? or we can include the men too if they identify themselves as muslims and then do things against Islam. Do we what them to identify themselves? why or why not?

Assalamu alaikom dear Sister Amirah,

I would prefer a sister to adjust her behaviour and be serious about submitting completely to Allah before she wears hijab. When we wear hijab, especially in a western country, we are out there representing Islam and we need to represent the Truth and not some sherade. Hijab is not a scarf, it is a code of behaviour and the two should go hand in hand, in my (uneducated..lol) opinion anyway

I totally agree because we look quick to say oh she is muslim and does not were hijab but we do not know what the sis is doing but she does and if she is doing things againt Islam I prefer her to not wear it so people here (America) would not get the wrong impression about Islam and our women.

I agree hijab sisters shall take seriously what hijab means in islam. It is about modesty which cover her behaviour in addition to scarf over the head. I am really disturbed with few hijab sisters in Malaysia (especially teenagers) in Malaysia showed bad behaviour despite is on hijab. You can verify this by looking at videos in youtube. Of course i don't mean to generalize this statement, but it is rather prevalent and concerned me. So, I agree with brother said women shall adjust behaviour while on hijab. Hijab represent image of muslims .. and islam too.
