Which Qibla was used by the Prophet [saw] in Makkah?

Salama aleykum,

In Medina, the Prophet saw offered his salah facing Bayt al Maqdis for 16/17 months, after which Allah revealed verses to face Makkah. My question is, which direction did the Prophet saw face when praying in Makkah? there was an instance where the Prophet saw was praying and some quraysite placed dirts on his shoulders when he was in sujud, which direction was he facing then? Please quote your sources.
