I saw this thread in another forum, so i thot of starting here :)
Which Sahabah would you like to swap a moment in Seerah History with?

Choose a moment in the seerah where you would like to swap positions with a sahaby (male companion) or sahabia (female companion)...

I would choose the Ansari Sahabi Abu Dujanah (Ra) (THE RED BANDED WARRIOR), at the time of the battle of Uhud, When Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) held up his sword and said, "who will use this sword and fulfill its right?" There were some Great warriors among the sahaba like Ali ibn Abi Talib, Zubair ibn Al-awam, Umar ibn Al-Khattab, and still the Prophet handed the sword to this ansari..
Abu Dujanah asked, "What is its right, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) answered, "That you continue to strike the enemy with it until it breaks."

He had a red headband that he wore round his head. Whenever he was head-banded everybody knew that he was determined to fight to death. Therefore as soon as Abu Dujana took the Prophet's (peace be upon him) sword, he banded his head and started strutting proudly amongst the Mujahideen. Upon seeing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "This is a sort of walking that Allah detests except in such a situation (Jihad)."
I hope you all read abt this sahabi..... Amazing Characteristics of a True Muslim Warrior...
I wanna know the choices of others here
Choose a sahabi, and tell the moment in which you wish to swap :)

Jazakhallah khairan

Salamalaykum,

Masha Allah nice to know about ur thoughts. Brother in my case I dont think i can ever be able to show the courage and strength of Iman of Sahaby.

I dont wanna say swap as i know i cant and can never be, rest Allah knows the best, there are so many things to my lil understanding and lil knowledge, among which few of them.

1) when Prophet (pbuh) as for charity for the sake of Allah then Abu Bakar Siddiq (ra) has given all his belongings what all he has even his cloths ALLAH HU AKBAR and when Prophet ask him what u kept for ur family he replied Allah and Allahs Apostle.
ALLAH HU AKBAR.

2) When Prophet (pbuh) migration from Makah to Madina those days Abu Bakar Siddiq (ra) acompany him in his journey ALLAH HU AKBAR. the unique act.

3) Ali (ra) sleeping on the bed of Prophet (pbuh) when he was migrated to Madina. ALLAH HU AKBAR. When asked to Ali (ra) how he slept dont he feard ? he replied it was his best sleep and fearless sleep as Prohphet (Pbuh) said me to come and see me in madina. When Prophet (pbuh) said me to come and c him (pbuh) at Madina then how I can be Killed. ALLAH HU AKBAR what level of Iman they have ALLAH HU AKBAR.

4) Omar-e-Faroq (ra) his declaration when he is migrating to Madina. He was going into all the streets of Mekah and declaring. Omar is moving to Madina if anyone want to make his wife a Widow or his childrens Orphan or want there mother to cry for his child come and dare to stop Omer. ALLAH HU AKBAR..... the courage of Omar (ra) ALLAH HU AKBAR.

mashallah

when i read this wonderfull book about all the sahabah of the prophet salalahu wa3alayhi weselem..i felt like crying after each story subhanallah.

stories from all these noble wise and prophetloving muslims mashallah..

i loved all the stories mashallah, but some of them i can still remember very well because of their extreme dedication towards the prophet and islam..and especially how they put all their thrust in ALLAH ta3ala..no matter how extreme the situation... differing from being hacked into 2 pieces and being thrown into fire alive! still they stood firm and may ALLAH ta3ala grant them the highest jenna!! amin\

oem salamah
asmaa bint aboe bakr
at thoefail ibn amr a dawsi
aboe oebaidah ibn al djarrah
thoemamah ibn oethal
oeqbah ibn amier
fatimma bent MOhammed
baraka

etc etc etc wolahi i advice all muslims and no muslims..to read these stories mashallah!

it helps to understand how difficult it was for Mohammed salalahu wa3alayhi weselem and his companions to put out the message of islam...because the qoraish tribe at the time and other tribes were very difficult people...anti-islam..worst than any kind of people nowadays mashallah.

it also tells why and when and how certain ayaas were revealed to mohammed salalahu wa3alayhi weselem..after or before a certain situation.

inshallah yall will read such books

take care

Hazrat Omar bin Khattab (May Allah be pleased by him )

The Second Caliph of Islam ,,,,,,,
for sure ........
i remember reading his biography all i did was cry and cry
what leader ,what a personality ,,,,,, well little guess he was the student of the greatest man ever Hazrat Muhammad ('may Allah exalt his mention, and render him and his household safe and secure from every derogatory thing')......
each and every moment of his life after he reverted ,cant choose any .
but if i really have to choose ,then
i was talking about it with few young guys outside the masjid yesterday ,so would like to take that one ,,,y he was called Farooq
The coming over of Omar made a difference for Islam. Hitherto, the Muslims had lived in constant fear of the non-believers. Some of them had not even made their faith known to the people. They could not say their prayers publicly. All this changed when Omar became a Muslim.

The first thing Omar did was to call together the chiefs of Mecca. Before this gathering he declared himself a follower of Islam. They started at him in silence. No one had the courage to utter a word of reproach.

Omar next requested the Holy Prophet to say prayers in the Kaaba. He himself led a party of Muslims to that place. A second party was led by Hamza. When all had gathered, they said their prayers in congregation. The Holy Prophet led the prayer. This was the first prayer of its kind said in the Kaaba.

When migration to Medina started, the same thing happend again. Most of the Muslims left Mecca silently and secretly. But Omar would not do so. He put on his arms. Then he went to the Kaaba and said his prayer. The chiefs of Mecca looked at him in silence. After the prayer, he shouted out to them, "I am leaving for Medina. If anyone wants to stop me let him meet me across the valley. His mother shall certainly have to weep for him in sorrow."

Despite this challenge, no Meccan would dare to stop Omar. These things earned for Omar the title of Farooq. Farooq is the one who makes a difference. Omar's acceptance of Islam had made a big difference for Islam and Muslims.

thats the moment ,,,
