SalaamuAlikumweRahmetAllaahebarkatuh InshALlaah you are all well. I need help with something, sorry. How does one answer a question regarding mankinds existance on this planet? The person is muslim by the way and now they are beginning to even question whether or not Allaah SWT really knows what each indiviudal will do or not. I explained by saying that Allaah SWT does not need us, and that Angels can worship Him and they will not fail, but mankind has the will to choose wat to do-to obey and worship or not. I said that Allaah SWT tells us He IS the All Knower and the All Seer and that everything is already Preordained. I explained how scholars did not have to come to this conclusion, but rather we already told this directly and should obey since mankind cannot comprehend everything. The reply I got was that if Allaah SWT knows who will worship him or not, then why did he create us in the first place if He already knows the outcome. This is why this person is suggesting that perhaps Allaah SWT does NOT know what each one of us will do. My attempts to explain that this way each individual had their own chance to see for themselves how they would behave and whether or not their will was used for the better or for the worse was just futile because they still said it doesnt make sense. This person is relative to me and is muslim but mind you they do not pray cept once in a blue moon and nearly all islamic discussions with them start to get heated up, etc etc. For example, another thing I have been battling against has been the validity of hadiths. While it is true that AllaahuALim really which hadiths are true, (even if they are in Sahih Bukhairi since things could have easily been passed down incorrectly), that we must use our brains and still follow them because this is wat we all would have known to be true of the sunnah of the Prophet SAW. If its sumthing that contradicts the Quran, then obviously it cannot be true. However, if it doesnt, even if it is not mentioned in anything else, does not mean its not true. For example, the hadith that says pants below the ankle are in the Fire. My relative does not find any 'logic' in that...and refutes the validity of hadiths since one would not know wat is tru or not...Ive explained you should follow them because that is wat we know to be the sunnah and even if they are wrong for watever reason, then may Allaah SWT give u barakah cuz you thoguht it was right, had no way of finding out for real and still followed them(so long as they dont contradict the main source, the Quran)...
Sorry this was a very long question...if anyone has any tips or ideas on how to refute my relatives arguments or thoughts, please let me know cuz i worry they are drifting from the fold of Islam, God forbid since they dun pray, dun pracitse any sunnah and dun realli belive in them, and now doubt Allaah SWT's ablities or His 'reasons' for our existance...may RAbbina guide, protect and forgive all of us, nd may Rabbina bless you for helping, Ameen.
SalaamualikumweRahmetAllaahebarkatuh.
