Praise be to Allah (The Glorified and Exalted).

Human beings are born with different personality types and with different levels of understanding. For the majority of people raised in Muslim lands, ignorance is bliss for them. It is okay that they call themselves Muslim, without really having full knowledge. No matter how hard an intellectual wishes, the common man will never reach his level of wisdom and insight in terms of understanding. This is because as mentioned, humans are born with different intellectual capabilities. Personally, I have had the blessing from Allah (The Glorified and Exalted) of having acquired much knowledge and insight throughout my life and experiences.

Why I chose Islam?:

Firstly, it was with the guidance and help of Allah (The Glorified and Exalted), without Whom none are guided aright. As an intellectual, coming to any religion, especially one that is all-encompassing, and accepting every facet is a difficult task. This is the reason you see intellectuals convert to Islam, but some of them have a hard time following all of the rulings or beliefs, etc.

Secondly, various reasons include the following: The Perfect Description of Allah (The Glorified and Exalted) and truly monotheistic nature of Islam (i.e. no intermediaries or trinity or other godhead, no worshiping or praying to creation, which is the essence of paganism), the continuity with the prophethood and beliefs of the Children of Israel. For example, Islam continues the revelation of the Israelis perfectly. However, a religion like christianity, which claims to have some relationship with judaism, is at opposite ends. The religion of christianity does not worship the same Creator as jews, instead worshiping Jesus (peace be upon him) as part of a trinity god. The christians do not have the same beliefs in the nature of the angels, nor how resurrection and Judgment will take place, etc. Whereas Islam and judaism are similar on most levels of beliefs even little aspects. For example, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned that the public restrooms are frequented by devils from among the jinn, the jews state the same in their book called talmud. One has to research judaism to understand the incredible similarity between it and Islam. After learning about Classical mythology, in that roman and greek mythology, during my university studies, I understood where the stories of the bible originated from. I have also learned a great deal about christian mythology, so I was convinced that it was a completely false religion. An irony that sticks out about christians is that they have an intense dislike for jews and in the past would persecute them strongly and refer to them as "Christ Killers," believing that the jews helped to crucify prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). However, according to christian mythology, Jesus (peace be upon him) must be crucified in order for christians to have their sins forgiven and to enter Heaven! Then shouldn't the christians be thanking the jews?!

The other reasons include: the beauty of the Qur'anic revelation (some humans are gifted with greater appreciation for great literature, and I thank Allah for that gift), the entire theology of Islam and how it beautifully fits together cohesively, the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his teachings (hadith). When one reads several thousands of hadith and the life story of the final Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), one is faced with the life of a real human being and not a fantasy character from the realm of legend. Other reasons include: the wisdom and justice of Islamic Law, the reality about the existence of the jinn race which is documented in various cultures from around the world. It is also the case that I am a scientist. Therefore, I have studied the subject of evolution, and as an insider I will tell you that it is the greatest lie in the sciences, which has destroyed the salvation of hundreds of millions of ignorant common people and those not learned in Islam.

Clear Skies!
First I was a born muslim. I never knew the beauty of Islam until recently. I used to do all the acts of worship as a way of tradition before. But by the grace of Allah, I started to learn Arabic and then soon I began to understand the Quran and its beauty and ultimately the beauty of Islam. So now I know that I am proud to be a muslim. Why I am a muslim? Because Islam is the truth.
