Sister MashaALLAH that we dont listen them ,ALLAH save us to be like them inshaALLAH.
More people are ignorant, they dont understand that you cant think like the same way they think..you have a different heart, brain, experiences, friends ,especially a different life...They are ignorant, I live in a seemingly muslim country , today one of my friends told me at lunch: dont go to mosque later time u pray..occasionally she askes it and ı answer patiently, but I hate it...ı dont understand what is the benefit to her ??

they dont know anything about hijab...

my duas are with u

Surah an-Nur ayah 31 says:

And say to the faithful women to lower their gazes, and to guard their private parts, and not to display their beauty except what is apparent of it, and to extend their headcoverings (khimars) to cover their bosoms (jaybs), and not to display their beauty except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their womenfolk, or what their right hands rule (slaves), or the followers from the men who do not feel sexual desire, or the small children to whom the nakedness of women is not apparent, and not to strike their feet (on the ground) so as to make known what they hide of their adornments. And turn in repentance to Allah together, O you the faithful, in order that you are successful

Surah al-Ahzab ayah 59 says:

O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the faithful to draw their outergarments (jilbabs) close around themselves; that is better that they will be recognized and not annoyed. And God is ever Forgiving, Gentle.

:salam2: dear sister:D

First of All, let me welcome you to the site and to the family:D
second, you're doing a great job by following the Command of our RAB, so no need to worry about the *whys*...people are ignorant YES even THOSE born as MUSLIMS! it's ONLY Allah that gives us the Hidiya to be MUSLIMS and to be PRACTICING! So, sister shrug your shoulders and keep on pleasing YOUR LORD!
It's hard, but look at how the sahaba and those before us were treated SIMPLY because they were doing WHAT IS RIGHT! I wont give you the verses because sister Dua did it already, and I probably think you know them very well, so since you know that Allah has commanded you and you heard and obeyed...now is that bad??? NO! it's goood, perfectly good...and if people want to tell you it's bad, well, it's THEIR problem! you dont listen to any human being wheter BORN Mulim or NOT! it's or duty to obey Allah ta'ala, and AlhamduliAllah, you're doing your duty:D
so, be patient with the ignorant and ask Allah to guide them and all of us inshaAllah:D
may Allah make it easy for you and the rest of us.ameeen
REMEMBER, with every difficulty there comes EASE! and NO soul is given a BURDEN it cannot bear!
BE PATIENT.....BE PATIENT.......BE PATIENT
:hearts:Allah hafiz now and always:hearts:

Hijab is for Allah, not for the his creation. Ignore the whispers of shaitan. May Allah keep you on the correct path, and away from the ignorant ones.

Salaam,

It is amazing what a guilt conscience will make people say, eh? Every time these women see you they must feel a deep shame. Shame that they care more about what the dirt of the earth think (humans) over what their Creator thinks. Tell them that your hijab is a wonderful protection against the UV rays of the sun and also *cough* the hellfire.

Next time they criticise your clothing just smile brightly and say, "It's all for the glory of Allah, what do I care what his creations have to say?" You may even want to keep some printed hadiths and Quranic reference to hand to them. Keep your chin up sis, this life is but a shadow.

Subhanallah,.

Asalamau aleikum wr wb.
Actually, its really beautiful wearing hijab than not wearin it.. You are not supposed to look beautiful, men shouldnt look at you.. Subhanallah, many muslims care about the dunya instead of akhira.. My allah help all of us, and guide us to the right path ..Ameeeeen..
