Dear All,
There are many reasons, one reason is that the food gives us energy.
Once we get the energy, we could release it positively or negatively.
As soon as our energy is released, we get tired and then we have to take rest and eat more food.
In order to do anything, we need energy. For example, walking, running, moving, learning, traveling etc all acts of life require energy.
Two Ways Of Using Energy:
1 - We can utilize this energy in offering Salats, in learning and spreading Deen, in achieving goals of our lives and for so many other constructive things.
2 - We can just waste our energy on our carnal/sexual desires like sex, masturbation etc. All we will be doing then is eating food and then doing sex/masturbation, then next day, eating more food and doing it again. We will keep doing it and will not realize the damages until it is too late for us.
Real Life Example:
When a boy was in his teens, he must have concentrated on his study, but he concentrated on girls and could not excel in study and finally gave up. Later, when he was a man and had no career, he realized the losses but it was too late for him to go back.
He realized that if he pursued his studies in boys only school, he might have exceled in his studies. After analyzing his life and losses done to it, he became grateful to ladies who wear Hijab because such women construct society while others destruct it.
Conclusion:
Since food gives us energy if we will recite Allah (swt)’s name whenever we eat it, then the final outcome of this energy will be something constructive to our lives.

We want to achieve many things in our life, but all of them need efforts (energy), we could not achieve them because we do not have enough energy for them.
As Allah (swt) says in Quran
Waan laysa lil-insani illa masaAAa
And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives
