Why should we be Sad?

Servant of Allah
:salam2: dear respected brothers and sisters. I know that this world is full of obstacles and hardships. I know that we all complain constantly, and if not constantly we complain sometimes. We as muslims are always saying... the kuffar did this, the kuffar did that. I've done that and so have many others. But i realized that we are complaining too much and not doing enough to help our ummah become wiser, more patient and more steady. We've been blessed by Allah because he chose for us to be Muslims, he chose for us to be among those who face trials and obstacles in order that we see the world from not only one side but from everyside, so that we become stronger believers in this way of life that is islam. The hardships, the obstacles, the pain, and the times of exhaustion that we have endured are not there for no reason, they're there for a reason...if we await patiently and become stronger Muslims we will indeed have paradise, so why all the worry. allah has chosen for us ISLAM, isn't that enough happiness in life for us? Isn't that the best blessing a person can have? so why then are we ashamed to stand out in public and declare the shahada, why are we afraid to say Allahuakbar at graduations, why are we so afraid that some shave their beards, while others have thrown their hijab to the curve. why are we so afraid honestly when we have been promised victory? We should be a strong ummah, full of courage and bravery, we should be able to endure the pains and sufferings just to recieve the pleasure of Allah. so let's not complain...be happy that Allah has giving you the best of gifts in life, to BE A MUSLIM.:SMILY259:

As salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wabrakatuhu sister

Your words are very encouraging and noble at such an age. Unfortunately many grown up Muslims dont follow Islam properly because they are afraid that the environment they live in, might mock at them. But we are humans and the tests and trials we go through is a test of our feelings, our emotions, our strengths and our weaknesses. When there is pain we feel pain, when there is hardship we become tensed, we whine and complain a lot. We forget that its Allah who is in control of all matters and affairs.

So it all comes back to the level of Eeman we have. If we have strong and high level of Eeman and have Taqwa in Allah, we will come out strong from any hardship or misfortune that crosses our way. But if we are not strong the fitnah which has just passed will lead to more fitnahs.

I have attached a book "Dealing with worries and stress". Its worth reading.

wa/salam
