:salam2:,

i know that wishing something halal is allowed.

but if one wish to have born 50 yrs before or in better society or had more power/wealth for community's good...could that mean that you are not satisfied with the Decree of Allah?

Afterall Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise and Most Justful, Most Merciful.

wa alaykom assalam ..well i read a lecture that if u wished for something that is immposible like being born 5o years ago is ok unless it was a bad wish like you wanted to go back to kill someone.

and there's a big difference between wishing and hoping to wish for something is just to dream and desire that dream to happen..but Hope is when you dream, you work hard to achieve that dream and then you wait patiently for that dream to come true.
sorry i couldn't find the hadith in english, wa assalam alaykom wa rahmato allah wa barakatoh
