Woman Nasheed Group?

Afwan, I don't know if this is right place for topic, but I will thankful if brother or sister moderator replace this topic to a better place. I just want to ask this question, why there is nasheed group woman in the US and UK, like Poetic Pilgrimage, Ms Latifah, etc? I just find them in www.muslimhiphop.com and so surprised there are nine groups of sister. I'm sorry if there is difference culture of da'wah in europe and america and Indonesia. Because, we, in Indonesia, is so strange if there is someone (muslimah) song a nasheed in front of public. Because I know there is hadith that woman voice is aurat (I wish I have a better redaction).

Maybe must be a reason why these sisters make a group for nasheed and I want to know why? Because, is so strange for me, I'm sorry.

Forget, women singing nasheeds- Even the ones that male singers do are not according to what Islam prescribes. Some soften their voices and sing like women, some do music with mouth and what not. The only reason they make group is they like to sing and they want to use their talent to sing. However, to convince people it is halal, they have really nice lyrics about Islam or related to Islam. Really brother, even if it is halal, singing nasheeds is not going to reward us.

Thanks for the answer brother. Because they like sing, right? Still, strange to me and my friends in Indonesia, because the form of nasheed group there just only male. Never woman. We have few nasheed groups, Shoutul Harakah, Izzatul Islam, SNADA, Fathul Jihad, etc.
