As salaam aleykum guys,
I am personally fascinated by the study of how words are used in the Quran, kinda like how Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan studies the linguistics of the Quran.
So I started this thread, for anyone who knows any fascinating facts about how words are used in the Quran.
I will start of with an example, and i hope you guys will jump in with more facts.
And Inshallah I hope to make short youtube videos about these facts.
Some people might present things which are not verified, so I ask brothers and sisters to post only verifiable facts. And to everyone reading this post, they should verify on their own, and hopefully it will lead to a constructive discussion.
I personally use quranologie.com to find words and their variations, it's a very useful site in verifying claims made about words in the quran.
I will start off.
Take for instance the word "لا تتفرقوا " (la tatafarraquu) it is used only twice in the Quran. One time in it's original form, and the other time in it's shortened-form لا تفرقوا (la tafarraquu). They both mean "do not be disunited/separated).
What's fascinating is that when it was used in the original form, the command was given to the Ummah of Nooh, Ibrahiim, Musa, Isa and Muhammad (pbuh) all of them together, surah 42:13.
Where as when the word was used in the short-form, the command given to the Ummah of Muhammad(pbuh) alone, surah 3:103.
When a many Ummahs were being talked about the longer version was used, and when just 1 these Ummah was being talked about the short form was used.
