"World's first Muslim superheroes, the 99, are headed for British television screens!!"


The world's first Muslim cartoon superheroes have taken the Arab world by storm, and now they are headed for British television screens.

Named the 99, as each possesses one of Allah's 99 attributes, the characters include a burka-clad woman named Batina the Hidden and a Saudi Arabian Hulk-type man named Jabbar the Powerful.

Is this any good...? Jabbar, the powerful doesnt seem to have a beard :p

Wa'aleykum salaam,

As i understood it, this means there are 99 'super heroes' who each possess an attribute of Allah Nauthubillah! this is definately a sort of SHIRK (of Tawheed of ASMAA WA SSIFFAT)and a way for the kuffar to undermine TAWHEED! Muslims should definately learn the Asmaa Wa Ssiffah of Allah. i will definately steer clear of it inshaallah.

THIS IS LIKE THE HINDUS KNEW ATTRIBUTES OF GOD AS CREATOR ,SUSTAINER AND DESTROYER..
SO THEY SAID THE CREATOR IS A DIFFERENT GOD CALLED brahma
the sustainer is vishnu
the destroyr is XYZ
and not content with that they also imagined how brahma looked and so on till they made idol of each one.

I HOPE U SEE THE POINT .THE CHILDS BRAIN WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO IMAGINE ALLAH AS ONE BUT WHEN it will be said Allah the crEAtor it will be a different image in his mind.

ever since i hv watched the movie 'the message' i imagine Hazrat hamza as Anthony quinn and hazrat khalid as the actor with a short beard . i just came to know his beard rAN to his chest.
so u see .tis was the case with sahabas -they r playing aniating Allahs attributes.

no this is not acceptable and ok,

you know most cartoons, are designed to show anything that comes from above earth is evil, mostly and it is up to the earth people to fight them. In Islam we believe the good is above earth and I need not to explain this to muslims as we already know the Revelation came down.

now this appears that they are trying another angle.

These are methods they brainwash children to a point they don't believe, and kufr.

What is the importance of knowing the Beautiful Names of Allaah?

Praise be to Allaah.


Knowing the Beautiful Names of Allaah is very important indeed, for the following reasons:



Knowledge of Allaah and His Names and Attributes is the noblest and best of all knowledge, because the level of honour of any kind of knowledge has to do with the object of knowledge, and the object of knowledge in this case is Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, through His Names, Attributes and Deeds. Occupying oneself with seeking this knowledge and studying it properly is the pursuit of the highest objective, and acquiring this knowledge is one of the best gifts a person may be given. Because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained it very clearly and was very keen to do so, the Sahaabah never disputed in this matter as they did over some of the rulings (ahkaam).

Knowing Allaah makes a person love and fear Him, and put his hope in Him, and be sincere towards Him in his actions. This is the essence of human happiness. There is no way to know Allaah except by knowing His

Most Beautiful Names and seeking a proper understanding of their meanings.



Knowing Allaah by His Most Beautiful Names increases one’s faith, as Shaykh ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Sa’di (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “Believing in and knowing the Most Beautiful Names of Allaah includes the three types of Tawheed: Tawheed al-Ruboobiyyah (Unity of Divine Lordship), Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah (Unity of the Divine Nature) and Tawheed al-Asma’ wa’l-Sifaat (Unity of the Divine Names and Attributes). These three types of Tawheed form the essence and joy of faith (the word translated here as “joy” implies peace and relief from stress), and this knowledge is the basis and purpose of faith. The more a person learns about the Names and Attributes of Allaah, the more his faith increases and the stronger his conviction becomes.” (Al-Tawdeeh wa’l-Bayaan li Shajarat al-Eemaan by al-Sa’di, p. 41).

Allaah created His creatures to know Him and worship Him. This is what is expected from them and what they are required to do, because as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “The key to the call of the Messengers, the essence of their Message, is knowing Allaah through His Names and Attributes and Deeds, because this is the foundation on which the rest of the Message, from beginning to end, is built.” (Al-Sawaa’iq al-Mursalah ‘ala al-Jahamiyyah wa’l-Mu’attilah by Ibn al-Qayyim, 1/150-151). So when a person occupies himself with learning about Allaah, he is doing what he was created for, but if he ignores the matter, he is neglecting what he was created for. The meaning of faith is not merely to utter words without knowing Allaah, because true faith in Allaah means that the slave knows the Lord in Whom he believes, and he makes the effort to learn about Allaah through His Names and Attributes. The more he learns about his Lord, the more he increases in faith.

Knowledge of the Names of Allaah is the basis for all other knowledge, as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “Knowledge of the Most Beautiful Names of Allaah is the basis of all other kinds of knowledge, for the objects of all these other branches of knowledge were either created or commanded by Him (the various branches of knowledge either deal with objects created by Him or with the laws and guidance revealed by Him). The reason for creation and guidance is found in His Most Beautiful Names (because He is the Creator, He creates things; because He is the Guide to the Straight Path, He reveals guidance, and so on)… Knowing the Most Beautiful Names is the basis of all objects of knowledge, because all knowledge stems from these Names…” (Bada’i' al-Fawaa’id by Ibn al-Qayyim, 1/163).

DC comics (US) and Teshkeel Comics (Kuwait) joined forces to do a “cross-cultural” project, to build cohesion between societies by producing comic-books that make resemblance of the Names and Attributes of Allaah (to the creation)!

The story goes that some 99 normal people touch some “Noor” stones (Allaah is an-Noor!) and gain the Attributes of ALLAAH, one each !

One may think that maybe the guy on the Kuwaiti side had a good intention, that the kids will get addicted to the Comics, learn the Names of Allaah, talk about the Names of Allaah and so on or just maybe it is another plot to destroy Islaam from within; get Muslims confused about their religion, de-root them from the fundamentals, turn the most Beautiful Names and Attributes of Allaah into idols to be worshipped.

Does this ring a bell?

Isn’t this just devolving back into the days of jahiliyyah (pre-Islaamic era of ignorance)? The idols that the messenger of Allaah (saw) broke with his own hands, are reappearing in the houses of Muslims with a welcoming smile, and enthusiasm of dim-wits.
Ahl as-Sunnaah wal-Jamaa’ah do not make resemblance of Allaah to the creation, let alone make idols and caricatures to represent His unmatchable Attributes! Yet “Muslims” are stacking their shelves with these pages of evil.

Quoting the Guardian:

“They are superheroes battling injustice and fighting evil the Islaamic way, and they are teaming up with some of the west’s biggest comic book icons. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are among those joining forces with The 99, who personify the 99 attributes of Allaah, according to Islaamic tradition.”

Don’t worry that we are making images and idols out of the Attributes of your God, we also set some positive Islaamic rolemodels; one even wears a burqa’:

“Only Batina, one of five females, is fully veiled, and although characters pray or read the Qur’aan, they are meant to appeal to children of all faiths.”

Not only that, after making resemblance of Allaah to the creations this shaytaan is worried about portraying magic in his comics. How can the Arab governments just sit there and let this evil infiltrate into the lands of Muslims - they censor magic, and yet they allow through something that is even worse !?

“It’s difficult to have any kind of reading or comic book culture here because there is a lot of stuff that doesn’t come in or it’s censored. Certain storylines don’t work and some stuff, like magic, just isn’t allowed.”

The Prophet (saw) said: “The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers.” And he (saw) said: “The makers of these images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to them: ‘Give life to that which you have created’.”

Where are those Muslims who took to the streets when the evil apes depicted the prophet (saw) in a horrific manner? This now is not a matter of making a silly caricature, it is a matter of destroying Tawheed of Allaah from within.

Seeing no reaction, one must come to a conclusion that Tawheed has not reached the hearts of the Muslims.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some Muslim women dressed up as “Battinah” in future protests against burqa’ bans, like those father-child protestors dressed in superman costumes.

We seek refuge with Allaah from this evil affecting the hearts and minds of the Muslims. We pray that Allaah rectify those who have authority over the Muslims, and guide the Muslims to worship Him Alone. We ask Allaah to grant the Muslims courage and power to stand up to this evil. Aameen
