Mosques and Markets

The Prophet(p.b.u.h) said,''The most beloved places on earth to Allah
are(Masajid) Mosques,and the most despised places to Allah are the
markets.'' (sahih Muslim)


Can anyone explain this Hadith? and is that mean we have avoide going to the markets because it's the most despised places to Allah?:tti_sister:

For the correct explanation u have to ask a Mufti or Imam...

Although I don't know the exact explanation, I hear many imams say that the markets are despised because there is lots if lying and cheating there, and because people get engaged too much with dunia to the extent they sometimes forget the prayer, and many merchants swear by God unnecessarily and some times swear by God to cheat. This is common in some markets in the Arab world, but I don't know if it is so in other regions.
