I know what you.. thing is that the majority of muslims brothers mainly (not sure about muslim sisters) don't spend time even studying islam. They are divided from Islam because they mainly care about divulging in the materialistic qualities of this world and not realising what greater qualities...

Yes, hell fire is scary... that's why scholars say that if someone had seen hell fire with their own two eyes... they wouldn't want even the worst of Allah swt's creation to enter hell as it is a volatile, horrific place... and also one way to keep your faith strong and not to commit bad sins...
