When people want to become muslim, their intention should be only for the sake of Allah. Their intention should be only to please and worship ALlah alone the way He wants to be worshipped. People should not become muslim for the sake of a woman, money, muslims, injustice etc. neither because of the cartoons. Instead, their intention should be only because of the truth, becuase of ALlah subhannahu wete'ala. And they have to be convinced that Allah is the Ultimate creator who is free from any mistake and error. They have to be convinced that He subhanahe is Alone in His actions. He is the only Rabb (Lord) and He controls everything (Tahwidul rububbiyah) and to Him belongs all forms of worship (tahwidul uluhiyyah), and to HIm belong all the beatiful names and attributes (tawhidul esmai vassifaah). They need to know the tahwid of Allah subhanahu wete'la and akeeda (proper belief) belief in Allah, His angels, messengers, His books, day of judgment and devine decree.
Most muslims lack the knowledge in tawheed and akeeda. Therefore, you will see many wear amulets for protection, pray to the dead, many don't even think they will be resurected again.
When resulullah
used to call people to islaam, the first thing he did, was invite them to tawheed. To laa ilaahe illaalah, so people negate all other forms of gods, worships, besides Allah alone. "Verily actions are but by intentions, and to every person belongs that which he itended" Hadith 1 of imam an nawai r.a.

It is a sin when one converts to islam other then the sake to worship Allaah(subhanahu wa ta'ala)...
however, one has to be guided somehow.... Sometimes all it takes is one little speck of light in the darkness of a tunnel to get one to follow that light.Lets say your walking in the world lost and confused. then all of a sudden, in the midst of the darkness you see a speck of light in the distance. what the heck is this peculiar thing, you ask. You never know what it is when you see this light, but who cares, you keep following it.
what it could be,you aks yourself, your are magnetized, you are puzzeled,
so you keep following it. Your like a firtefly. You are drawn to it. You ask yourself : what is this? whats making it? Where did it comefrom??
Its so beautiful. You are mesmerized by this light. Your eyes are hooked. When you walk closer to the light it gets bigger,
Then when you come to the end you see the light in its full brilliance and all your questions are answered.
This light that you saw was Islam.
and once you find this beautiful light, all the darkness begins to disappear.

I think your looking at it the wrong way although i agree with you that their intention should be only for the sake of Allah, this video shows that from something bad something good happened in that he realised the oneness of Allah and that Muhammad (saw) is the final messenger of Allah so if you watch the video properly then you will understand akhi

Yes, infact they work so hard against islaam and to show islaam in a negative way so people do not become muslim, however Allah subhanahu wete'ala still guides people to islaam through that. It reminds me of the ayaah in surah As-Saff
8. Their intention is to extinguish Allah.s Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).
