Why issuing an alert letter is precisely the wrong thing to do?

The alert letters keep coming. Beware here is the latest anti-Islamic site. Then a URL so you can verify that it is indeed as described. Then a passionate request to tell all the Muslims in the world about it.

Sincere. Misguided. Counter-productive.

Little do the senders realize that they are actually helping the very sites they are trying to fight.

​

The failure is in realizing that the Internet is a very different medium and the rules that applied to the previous media do not always apply here. If there is a bad magazine or book out there, you can tell others about it. We can be sure that nobody will rush to the closest bookseller to buy it. The warning may be useful, if there was a chance that some people could have bought the book out of ignorance.

In the click-click world of the Internet, the first thing most people will do is to click on the URL, thereby increasing the hit counts and boasting the morale of the site owners. Second, it will help it with search engine placement, as some of them will use the increased curiosity traffic as a sign of popularity. You just helped create the monster you wanted to fight!

It is common sense. If you don't want people to visit a site, just don't tell them about it.

​

It is very easy to setup a page on the Internet. It is very difficult to draw traffic to it. The most anti-Islamic site will die if it faces a frozen counter. That would happen if you just leave it alone. But if you are out there telling everyone about it and asking them to do the same, you are in effect volunteering as their publicity department. That is exactly what they need.

​

If there is a well-established site (like CNN) it makes sense to launch a protest campaign. But for most of the sites the prudent course is just the opposite. Leave it alone. Let it die of neglect. A natural death. The greater the lack of attention, the faster will be the death of this would be monster.

So the next time you receive an alert letter about an anti-Islamic site, just delete it. If you respond to the sender, do not include the original text of his alert email, because even that may help some search engine ranking.

There were dozens of anti-Islamic sites that sprang up recently but died soon after because, luckily, our enthusiasts had not noticed them and had not publicized them through their alert letters. The ones that receive the alert letter mention will, unfortunately, survive and may thrive.

​

On the Internet, the best use of your energies is to promote the good Islamic sites. Let the good drive out the evil.

​

yes, caution danger to anti islam sites. We better leave it. I am afraid it would influence our faith.
Islam doesn't religion based by history and propaganda. We have fondation by peace, love and fact.
If we found some contradiction in the texts of the past history. So the texts history are not valid. Can't bring outside from our backyard and becoming legitimate as an islamic histories fact. The anti islam people often attack us with islamic historical texts which still have contradictions between followers on it.
for example the history of half marriage of Aisha Ummul Mukminin. There are texts contradiction between sunna and shia concerning of this history. Shia believe that Aisha ummul mukminin were 16 years old when she got hijra/exodus from mecca to Madina.
Here the alibi/argumentation:
Historical texts by shia show us that she died at the age of 67 year old. Something very important is when did she die? If we read the history by shia then we will found that she died at 51 Hijriyya. It means that she was 67-51=16 years old when got hijra. Here fact history, Aisha Ummul Mukminin died coincide with the arrival of Moa'wiya to the Madina and Mecca ( to the Arab peninsula from Damascus). Moa'wiya came to Arab peninsula to meet Abubakr children and asked them to acknowledge his son Yazid as his successor. Moa'wiya came to Arab peninsula after the death of Imam Hasan. So he got courages coming to Ara Peninsula. The ages differences between Aisha Ummul Mukminin and Imam Hasan are about 20 years. With Imam Hasan died at 50 Hijriyya when he was 46 years old.

The anti islam site that attack islam symbol like sites made by Ali sina. As you know, Ali Sina is a moortadin. He was shiite moslem. He said that he was anger about the sharia practising in Iran. But he used the hadis from sunna lika Bukhari, Muslim, Nasa'i, Tirmidzi, Musnad Ahmad, to attack us. He didn't use the hadis like Al-kaafi, Wasa'il, Bihar, dll. So I think he just lie about anger to the sharia practising, or he just had received money from islam haters.

This is my suggestions to answer islam haters, when they attack our beloved prophet.

1. Say to them islam doesn,t religion based by histories and propaganda, so we don't need to learn more deeper about past history. The histories which is important for islam is histories which have direct connection with spiritual learning, consciousness thaught and to get closer with Allah, like the histories in the Holy Qur'an. The story about Aisha Ummul Mukminin just an accesories and doesn't give impact with islam taught like spiritual.

2. We could use eksklusivism philosophy for stronger answer. It means that every group in islam have more eksklusivism relationships each others than others groups outside islam. In this terminology we could use others brothers islam texts, thaughts, to answer non muslims. If we got question from non-muslims about our sect in islam.
Answer their question with question, what is your consideration for questioning about sect, we are muslims so we are brothers. What are you a muslims? or you are a shiite non-muslims? or a sunna non muslim? You better make a new religion. A new religion for hating islam, called sunna non muslim or shiite non muslim.

eksklusivism are fitrat natural tendency in nature. instance the lions group. There was competition among male to become leader of group. But the death are never happen in the competition.
But there are death on competitions between groups. The males on the same group will cooperation each other to kill males from other group. Instead they are ready to sacrificing itself and bailed their descends to their brothers. Animals with simple consciousness can do that. Humans with complex consciousness must could do more.
