I have just finished reading a book titled 'BELONGING' from the author 'Sameem Ali'. It's a true story about the author and how she was treated by her family as she was growing up. She was abused, tortured, ignored, humiliated, treated like a slave, forced to marry and unloved. She wasn't particularly religous or anything but that's not really her fault! Its an amazing and inspirational read. Some parts when you read it you do question it's authenticity due to the shocking behaviour of her family but later on I concluded that it's actually all true. Plus, my sister knows the author & wouldn't have recommended it to me if she though it was a lie. Highly recommended! Read it!
