Anas b. Mâlik relates that an elderly man approached, wanting an audience with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, but the people were slow to make room for him, so the Prophet said:
مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَيَعْرِفْ حَقَّ كَبِيرِنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا
Whoever does not show mercy to our little ones (children) and does not respect the rights of our elders, then he is not one of us.
[Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 40, #4943]
