I hope all of you are fine. I have a very strange question at hand that i want to ask. A man and woman were married, before nikah they decided and agreed that they would consummate the marriage in a few months time so that the husband can find a better job to fend for his wife because his current job is not as well paid. Now, after the nikah, the problem is that the wife says that immediate consummation of the marriage (moving into their own place together on nikah day) was her right and has done him a HUGE favor by allowing him late consummation. Is it really the right of the wife that the marriage be consummated immediately?
Please quote quran and/or ahadith if you know about it.
jazakallah
