In a village of northern France, a couple (as of this writing, identification is not available) was arrested after eight bodies of newborns were discovered. It was stated that all eight children were the offspring of the French couple. The bodies of the babies were found in two locations on the couple’s property in Viller-au-Tertre. The house is blocked off during investigation.This is not the first case of a newborn baby being killed and the body being kept nearby. Celine Lesage was sentenced in March for the killing of her six newborns and placing their corpses in plastic bags. The bags were stored in her basement.Veronique Courjault murdered three of her newborn children. Her husband discovered two of the bodies in the freezer while they were living in South Korea. This behavior seems to coincide with the mental disorder “pregnancy denial”Germany has also cited cases. One woman was convicted of manslaughter in 2006 for killing eight of her newborn babies and burying them in flower pots and a fish tank.
