Matthew 7:21 Jesus says not everyone that calls the name of the Lord shall be saved
Matthew 7:21 say "Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom."
But Acts 2:21 Paul says whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.>>
Let’s take a look at both scriptures in context to resolve the contradiction
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.
22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.
Jesus was explaining the important fact of what it takes to make it into the God’s kingdom:
only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.
Paul called himself a liar albeit in a hypothetical sense. “For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner” (Romans 3:7). In essence Paul is questioning why is he being condemned a sinner if he is glorifying God even through his lie!! (You might claim it’s hypothetical questioning but the argument is made).
Paul’s mission was to preach to the Gentiles; he started by first abolishing the Mosaic laws (Galatians 3:11) whereas Jesus himself didn’t. In Matt 5:17 Jesus says “"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.” Clearly Jesus was not sent to this planet to create a new religion (that PAUL did) but to fulfill the laws and bring the “lost tribes of Israel” back to the laws of the Old Testament.
Paul (a liar) claimed divinity of Jesus. In Matt 7:21–24 Jesus says ““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [a]miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”
then Jesus clearly says in Matt that whoso does the will of my Father will enter heaven. What is the will of the Father? Reference the Old Testament. The Old Testament clearly states in Deuteronomy 6:25 “And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.” The self-proclaimed apostle Paul abolished the Law under the authority that Jesus. Now either Paul was wrong and never met Jesus yet did things in his name or the counter-argument is that the sayings attributed to Jesus in the NT are corrupted. Choose wisely.
As for Jesus, he came to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God. His preaching is only for the Israelites as the kingdom of God will be taken away from them due to no fruits and will given to another people.
But, Paul did not understand Jesus or have ever met him in person to know him or his teachings. Paul did not know that Jesus came with no new laws. Paul did not know about the coming of kingdom of God, the main message of Jesus.
