The Description of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is described in the following hadith:
Rabee’ah ibn Abi ‘Abd al-Rahmaan said:
I heard Aanas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) describing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He [Malik] said, “He [the Prophet] was of average height, not too tall and not too short, with a pinkish color, not very white and not dark, and his hair was neither very curly nor very straight…” [al-Bukhari no. 3283]
al-Bara’ ibn ‘Aazib (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was of average height and broad shouldered. He had hair that came down to his earlobes. I saw him wearing a red garment and I never saw anyone more handsome than him. [al-Bukhari, 3358; Muslim, 2337]
