Muslim Brother
al-Harith ibn Kalada - hes a companion of the prophet and was the medic there - does anybody know something about him. I only know wikepedia and another Journal that talks about him, is there any info on him?

Dear brother :

You are talking about TWO persons - father and his son

both of them had the name Harith

and both of them called Tabeebul - Arab ( medic of Arabs )

their tribe : Thaqeef ( today the region of Taef city )

the son was muslim but his father - not sure .

The father treated the sick companion ( Sahaby ) Saad Ibn Abee Waqqas
on the season of Hajj Al Akbar - on request of Prophet MUHAMMAD
( PBUH ) and the mentioned Sahaby recovered .

I can add here the following :

Harith ( the father ) : died before Hijra

Harith ( the son ) lived until Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufiyan

Muawiya asked him one day :

tell me Harith - what is illness ???

Harith answered : to eat when you are not hungry
and to take food on food

Muawiya then asked :

what is medicine ???

Harith answered :

Diet is the root .
