Asalamualikum,

My athan clock on the computer has the correct time, but the fajr time is still one hour too early....before the sun rises.

What is the correct time for this? Does one get up 2 hours prior to sunrise, now for the Fajr?

AsslaamuAlaikum,

Sister, It is better to sleep earlier and wakeup in the dawn time. There is no alternative feeling which you get by waking up in that time when Allah SWT is nearest to you. :) But if you feel it really hard (like me :() then you can wake up half an hour before sunrise and can offer your prayer.

It is not an obligation to wake up 2 hours before the sunrise to offer prayer. While it is obligation for the men to rush for Fajr prayer in the masjid.

P.S. Your profies shows that you are Christian??? But you are talkinga about Fajr prayer? I am confused.

Wasslaam,
