I wake up every morning with no reason to live,
No reason to accept life and no reason to give,
The world seems so grey from outside my window,
My heart feels black..covered by shadow,
The world looks the same..same people but different names,
Everybody does what they want as noone has shame,
I'm having the same dream which feels more real than this,
Its a field of green with a light in the midst,
I run and run but its just too far,
But something comes over me and I say Bismillah,
In the name of Allah..that light which was far,
comes right towards me faster than any car,
The light enters my body and purifies my heart,
Then i wake up next morning before the day starts,
It continued for weeks until one day,
I walked past a mosque and heard someone pray,
I stepped towards the most heavenly sound,
And entered the mosque with pillars all around,
I took off my shoes and walked further inside,
My eyes opened wide as I was overwelmed by suprise,
Such a peaceful place which smelt so sweet,
The carpet was soft and it cushioned my feet,
A man looked at me "come here" he said,
I sat beside him and he touched my head,
He closed his eyes and smiled for a while,
I felt so warm so even I smiled,
The man bought out a book and started reading,
It sounded so beautiful.. like a heavenly feeling,
It was his voice which had led me inside,
His voice so beautiful..I started to cry,
"What is this religion?" I say after he's done,
"This is Islam, We believe God is One"
At that second my life made sense,
I was living my life all in past tense,
This was my reason for life to be lived,
If I am obedient then Allah will give,
This world isnt real..its just Allahs test,
The real life will come..the real life is next,
La illaha Illallah,
