Hello I have a question since Islam and Muslims believe Jesus was and is a Prophet and the Messiah how do Muslims feel about the verses from the Bible what Christians call the Old Testament to prove Jesus was not the Messiah and the Messiah has not come and that Jesus Christ did not fulfill the Messianic Prophecies since the Bible has been corrupted did the Jews corrupt the Torah and write the Bible to make Jesus look like a False Prophet and look like a False Messiah ?




1) JESUS DID NOT FULFILL THE MESSIANIC PROPHECIES

What is the Messiah supposed to accomplish? The Bible says that he will:

A. Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).

B. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).

C. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)

D. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world—on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9).

The historical fact is that Jesus fulfilled none of these messianic prophecies.

Christians counter that Jesus will fulfill these in theSecond Coming, but Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright, and no concept of a second coming exists.

Jesus Christ (PBUH) was the only Prophet who was misunderstood among all the Prophets. He never claimed divinity. He always asked the people to worship the one Allah. But Allah had given Jesus Christ (PBUH) several powers and his birth was a wonder which made people consider him divine. But Jesus Christ (PBUH) never claimed it. Jesus Christ always asked people to worship Allah. He already spread the message. He fulfilled his prophecy and conveyed the message to his people. But, people never listened to him. That is why Allah raised him up. And he will come again to tell the Christians and people who say he is God that Allah is the only God and that they are all wrong. He will have no new message. He will come to prove all those sincere Christians wrong. He will come to clarify. That is what Qur'an says in Surah Al Ma'idah. Chapter 5, verse 116. In fact, the Gospel of John says the same thing.

All other claims by the Jews and Christians are wrong. It is said to spread false claims and facts about Jesus Christ (PBUH).

The 'REAL' Jesus is not the hippy-flower child of the bible. He was a prophet of Allah. To understand who he was you have to look at the historical setting of the time.

Since Alexander the Great the jews have been under the heel of the enemies much like the Filistinians today. But much worse. The greeks were repulsed by Juda Makabee but the vacuum was quickly filled by the Romans.

And as the jews were always resisting (militants), the worst of men were chosen for the roman legions in Judea. They would crucify men women and children on every road. Jesus couldn't walk anywhere without seeing jews rotting on trees and poles. Thousands every where.

That is first century history.

Much like some muslims today, when the greeks conquered Judea the upper class merchant jews quickly realized that if they became 'helenized' (amerikanized today) they could share in the riches of the mediterranean world. so they had their kids learn greek language art & philosophy and after a few generations there were two classes of jews. Pro-western helenized rich jews and dirt poor jews who stuck to the torah and only spoke hebrew.

The helenized jews tried to kill Jesus but he was saved by being lifted up alive as promised in the Zaboor.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Psalm 91

And the rich jews and later the Paulinian christians believed he died. The believing jews & the muslims knew/know better.

What sort of man would turn his back on the suffering of his people and tell them to give all they own in taxes to the filthy kafir invaders? Everywhere Jesus travelled cricified bodies line the side of the roads. Did he really tell them to look on the bright side of life? Only a fool would believe this christian fairy-tale from Paul's followers who wrote the gospels after the real followers were martyred in Jerusalem & Masada 73ce. Not many witnesses around to disprove them. Paul's mob were the ones who lived amongst the greeks in Syria Turkey & Greece. They wanted the life of this world more than the hereafter so they tweeked the story to make jesus a hippy flower-child man-god.

The Messiah is the one promised to save the believers by warring against Allah's enemies. He will be a priest king like Melchazidik & King David (OT)

This is the Jesus of the Qur'an that many overlook;

Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah , so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah ? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment. 9.111
