Help me be a better Muslim

Hi All,

I have been studying Islam for nearly a year, and I have to say that I am very happy it has entered my life, Mashallah. I really want to get into reading and understanding the Quran, and I am wondering what is the best way to do this. I want to read it and comprehend what the passages mean and how to understand them. Any advice?

Hello Brother,

I would strongly-request (if there is word like that)you to read one article by Shaykh Al Albani on topic of "Manhaj".
It is basically about method of interpretation of Quran, Sunnah and Islam in general.

Books on interpretation of Quran in english:

1. "Uloom ul Quran" by Bilal Phillips
2. "Introduction to sciences of Quran" by Abu Ammar Yasir Qahi

The second one is very much detailed.

Also, you can find Tafseer Ibn kathir in english on the internet which is very detailed tafseer of Quran.

You can also get a copy of transaltion and commentary on Quran by Yousuf Ali, i am sure it will be very helpful in understanding of Quran..

As Salaam Alaykum Brother Kashmiri,

Abdullah Yusuf Ali's interpretation of Quran has some serious problems with it.
We shouldn't recommend it.
