How To Deal With People Who Hate Us?

Assalamualaikum,
It happens to me that there are several people who hate me now. Some jealous of my ability,some dislike my blunt character, some just unexplainable. How to deal with them in Islamic way? I don't think I can just approach them and say,"Hey,why do you hate me?Let's be friends!" Heck,even some of them don't talk to me at all or worse,avoid me every time we are about to meet! What must I do?I need your advise in this problem. Thank you

Islam came as something strange and will return as something strange - Muslims will be viewed as being extreme & odd, they do not fit into this lower life. Muslims seek the pleasure of their Lord - not the pleasure of people, especially not the pleasure of those whom are misguided.
