Is classical music haram, too?

I honestly want to know, is classical music haram, too?

Wasalamo`Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa baraakaatuh,

Why should there be confusion in this. It's obvious it was "classical" kind of music the Prophet pointed to when it was prohibited. I mean "pop" or "hip hop" weren't there back then, now were they?

Thanks for that. It's not that I listen to it, it's just that people says its supposedly good for concentration or something like that. Personally I prefer listening to Quran recitations.

Depends upon the strength of the imaan of the person.
A person with strong imaan knows that music in any form is haraam.
For any other person, there are lots of bylanes where he can go to prove it otherwise.
