I've been watching a few Islamic scholars speak about the coming Islamic revolution when Muslim's inshallah will finally unite!.This seems to coincide with the infamous 2012 predictions that something big is on the way not that the Mayans do anything for me!!

Certainly on Allah(saw) knows what tomorrow will bring but lets discuss if or when Muslim's will unite and what kind of a world we'll be living in then?.Will things like time and money lose complete value??
Discuss.....

Salamu alaykum

akhi let's not waste our time thinking how things will be in future. Let's worry about where we are now inshallah. We will not be united until Allah sends the Mahdi and that will be just before the day of judgments. No one knows when that will be except Allah swa. Those who say or predict the future are only magicians who deal with jimns and should not be listened to anyways. Barakallah feek.

A general note

Probably you are talking about the information available at harunyahya. I personally do not agree with many of the comments and teachings available at harunyahya
As prophet Muhammad (SAW) has said,''The knowledge of last hour only belongs to Allah (SWT). It may strike while one is taking dinner with his/her family''. Therefore, nobody knows when the last hour will strike.

With due respect to Adnan Oktar (May Allah swt reward him immensely for his service in this life and hereafter), I would like to say that his work is not worthy to pay serious attention. He uses weak hadiths and many of his explanations about Koran do not match with those of the first generation scholars and classical scholars of today.

We should not be worried about last days or its signs as Adnan oktar is. We should be worried about our obligations. How can a believer be depressed about when everything is predestined.

But still I visit the site removed quite often.

Praise be to Allaah.

Undoubtedly fortunetelling, witchcraft and astrology are among the most serious of evil actions and corruption on earth and harming the Muslims unlawfully.

The scholars differed as to whether the fortuneteller is to be regarded as a kaafir who is beyond the pale of Islam, or whether it is a lesser form of kufr. Those who say that this makes him a kaafir quoted as evidence the hadeeth narrated by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad (9171), which says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever comes to a fortune-teller or soothsayer and believes him has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5942.

This also involves claiming to have knowledge of the unseen, and whoever claims to have knowledge of the unseen is a kaafir. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“(He Alone is) the All-Knower of the Ghayb (Unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb (Unseen).”

27. Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of the Unseen as much as He likes)”

[al-Jinn 72:25-26]

“Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghaib (Unseen) except Allaah”

[al-Naml 27:65]

Problem is that many Islamic scholars are in disagreement so contradict eachother therefore who does one believe??.I've always wondered that would the common person know when the Mahdi or Hadrat Isa(as) have arrived?.From my understanding there is still a golden Islamic period ahead that will come after many trials and trubulations for the believers.

This is brief summary ..

source:http://www.islamweb.net/VER2/archive/article.php?lang=E&id=135817

The Signs of the Hour

The Noble Quran and Prophetic narrations contain many references to the Hour (Day of Judgement) and both the major and minor signs which foretell its coming. Herein is a brief summary of the signs of the Day of Judgement. There are many books, articles, cassettes, etc., which discuss these in greater detail. These Signs are roughly listed in a chronological order, although this order is not necessarily precise, especially for those to happen in the future.

May Almighty Allaah enable us to recognize and heed these Signs, and strengthen us in the times of tribulation. Allaah Says (what means) "Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them suddenly? But its Signs have already come!" [Quran 47:18]

Past Sings:

· The splitting of the Moon.

· The prophethood of Muhammad .

· The death of the Prophet Muhammad .

· A form of death, which will kill thousands of Muslims. (Understood to refer to the plague of Amwas during the caliphate of 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab .

· A major fighting in Madeenah (understood to refer to the battle of Al-Harrah during the caliphate of Yazeed 63 AH).

· A great fire in the Hijaz (in Saudi Arabia), seen by the inhabitants of Busra (in Syria). This took place in 654 H (Hegira)

· The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem in 1187 AD.

· The Muslim conquest of Constantinople in 1453.

· Two large groups of Muslims fighting in war.

· A war between the Muslims and a reddish people with small eyes, wearing sandals made of hair (understood to refer to the Mongol Tatar invasion of the Islamic lands).

· A peace agreement between the Muslims and non-Muslims from the yellow race (Chinese, Mongols, etc.)

· Thirty impostors will appear, each one claiming to be a prophet.

Present signs:

· Naked, destitute, barefoot shepherds will compete in building high buildings.

· The slave-woman will give birth to her master or mistress (this refers to children disrespecting their mothers).

· A tribulation which will enter every Arab household (this may refer to TVs, satellite dishes and the internet-when misused).

· Knowledge will be taken away (by the death of scholars), and ignorance will prevail.

· Wine (intoxicants, alcohol) will be drunk in great quantities.

· Illegal sexual intercourse will become widespread.

· Earthquakes will increase.

· Time will pass more quickly.

· Tribulations will prevail.

· Bloodshed will increase.

· A man will pass by the grave of another and wish he was in the latter's place.

· Trustworthiness will be lost, i.e. when authority is given to those who do not deserve it.

· People will gather for prayer, but will be unable to find an Imaam (leader) to lead them in prayer.

Future Signs:

The following are signs that did not take place yet, but the listing below does not reflect the sequence in which they will take place.

· The number of men will decrease, whilst the number of women will increase, until each 50 women will be looked after by one man. (According to a narration in the book of Imaam Al-Bukhaari )

· The Euphrates will reveal a treasure of gold, and many will die fighting over it, each one hoping to be the one who gains the treasure.

· The Romans (Europeans) will come to a place called A'maq or Wabiq, and an army of the best people will go forth from Madeenah to face them.

· The Muslim conquest of Rome.

· The Mahdi (guided one) will appear, and be the leader of the Muslims. 'Eesaa (Jesus) will descend in Damascus, and pray behind the Mahdi.

· Jesus will break the cross and kill the swine, i.e. destroy the false Christianity.

· The Antichrist will appear, with all his tools of deception, and be an immense trial. He will be followed by 70,000 Jews from Isfahan (present-day Iran).

· The appearance of Gog and Magog, and the associated tribulations.

· The emergence of the Beast who will speak to the people, telling them they did not believe with certainty in the Divine Signs. This sign is among the major signs, and the scholars say that it will occur in the day where the sun will rise from the west.

· A major war between the Muslims led by the Leader Al-Mahdi, and the Jews plus other non-Muslims led by the Antichrist.

· Jesus will kill the Antichrist at the gate of Ludd (Lod in present-day Israel, site of an airport and a major Israeli military base).

· A time of great peace and serenity during and after the remaining lifetime of Jesus.

· Wealth will come so abundant that it will become difficult to find someone to be eligible for alms (Zakaah).

· The Arabian Peninsula will become a land of gardens and rivers.

· Society will then decay.

· The buttocks of the women of the tribe of Daws will again sway in circumambulating (Tawaaf) around the idol Thul-Khulasah.

· Three major armies will sink into the earth: one in the east, one in the west, one in Arabia.

· An Abyssinian leader with thin shins will destroy the Ka'bah (Sacred House in Makkah).

· The huge cloud of smoke.

· The sun will rise from the west (its place of setting).

· A gentle wind, which will take the souls of the believers.

· There is no one left on the earth saying, "Allaah, Allaah" or "There is no god except Allaah."

· Eventually the Day of Judgment is established upon the worst of the people, who copulate in public like donkeys.

· The blowing in the Trumpet by the Angel Israafeel upon which everyone will die.

· The second blowing in the Trumpet, upon which everyone will be resurrected.

the scholars were the biggest setback to us cause they gave the fatwas whatever their masters or kings wanted them to say so that they could live in huge palaces....remember the fatwa on afghanistan vs ussr??...it was jihad!

Lets assume for the sake of argument that it is gonna happen in 2012, How do you know you'll be living to witness it. Use your time more productively. There are so many versus in the Quran that states that Only GOD knows the future and every one who implies any other thing is just LAYING (sp?) to you.

This whole notion that in 2012 that the stars and galaxies are going to aline with each other and have a gravitational force might fall under science and not fortune telling, but the extent of damage (if any) to our planet is surly fortune telling.

If you can produce a mathematical model that accounts for all the gravitational force that result from such an alignment and apply them to our planetary system, than you might be able take this out of fortune telling into the realm of science. There so many galactic events in the past few years that people though to be a sure sign for a wide spread disaster and nothing materialized.

What are you talking about. Of course the Afghan were fighting Jihad against USSR. It is amazing that some comes and poopoo the struggle of tens of millions of people who suffered and poopoo scholars of Islam.

No body thought that USSR would eventually fall but it did. Today no body thinks that the USA will fall but who knows. All the killing in Afghanistan and Iraq by the USA won't go unpunished

i have got so much of doubt..can any one say who is mahdi?.

ًIn the hadeeth, The Prophet Mohammad PUH said that towards the end of time on of my descendant his name is Mohammad Ben Abdullah will rule Muslims in a righteous way and he will be at the time when Issa PUH will come to earth again.

This is mentioned in Various Hadeeth and the person is known as Mahdi

All the predictions about end of times in hadith are certainly true .But giving a time frame for them is any one's personal opinion.

Saying that mahdi will come at such and such time.I think its a personal opinion and may have nothing to do with Islam.

how ever I did came across this 2012 thing when I read book"the day of wrath" written by a scholar who takes biblical prophecies to prove that palestine will be freed.

he quotes I think Prophet jeremiah as predicting indirectly that palestine would be freed 45 years after its occupation. so 45 years after 1967 comes out to be 2012.

But again thats not something reliable and we certainly dont have to believe that.

salamu alaykum

alhamdulillah sister Aisha has posted proofs about the sign of the of judgement so let's prepare ourself. Let's not worry about Muslim unity as it will never happen as the prophet :saw: in one narration said that this ummah will turn into 73 sects and all in fire except one. Thecompanions asked which that saved sect is and he :saw: replied "what I and my companion are upon today". So. Let us study our religion the way the companions understood this religion and inshallah we will be the saved sect. That is what we have to worry about, is to be among the saved sect and not the other 72. This better to worry about then Muslim unity which will not happen until just before day of judgement. Another thing is i always see Muslims talk about unity but unite upon what? We can only unite upon Quran and sunnah. That us why we see people becoming Muslim from any religion, from any bachground, from any tradition and they were our enemies yesterday but our bros and sisters today. Because that is the truth from our lord.

I believe that this thread will turn into opinions and just arguments without proofs, so I will close it.

But also there is really no benefit in it. Hope you will understand.

Barakallahu feekum
