forgive me if I say something wrong, it is not my intention to mislead. Muhammed pbuh did have more than 4 wives, however, these laws were revealed during his life, and he was forbidden from marrying more.* (Surah Al-'Azhab. 33:52)

However, asking *why* Allah swt would do anything is to question Him, not me.

If Muslims here choose 1 man on the left weight equal/balanced with 4 women on the right weight . The state of Scale of Balance is balanced . So it's meant the value of 1 man = the value of 4 women . Or the value of 1 woman = 1/4 the value of a man to make the Scale balanced . I - Huynh Phu Dat can not understand it .

I have a question, who came up with this "scale of balance"?



Why does it have to be 1 man to 4 wives? Islam also allows for a man to be married to just one wife! And Br. Hassan already explained to you, there are conditions that must be met for a man to take on a second and third wife, so not every man can have multiple wives because they cannot meet those conditions.

And yes, whether you agree with it or not, math is not the way to address this issues. If there is something you do not agree with in Islam, then come right out and ask it.

Besides, math is supposed to be straight up facts, not theories and whatnot. But you seem to be using it (math) in a way only you want to understand it. It's as if we're saying 1+1+1 = 3 and you're like no, 1+1+1 = 111

The purpose of this topic is prove that Islam is unbalanced for men and women .
On Scale of balance , Islam allow 1 man have 1 wife . On Scale of Balance , tt's meant value of 1 man = value of 1 wife .

At asylum , a doctor test a patient ( before he accept his patient recover his health ) by 2 questions :

I have no clue what the scales and energy relate to anything. This is some sort of joke I think. No one understands this because it is not meant to make any sense unless you have some sort of unrelated principle you are trying to use to compare to Islamic principles- which in itself shows that these theories have no leg to stand on. How do you think?

The Prophet Muhammad SAW only had one wife for most of his married life that was 20 years older than him (he was loyal to her and loved and respected her the most of all his wives). He later married other woman to form alliances within the Arab tribes after many years of being single after his first wife Khadija died and to get closer bonds to those very close friends of his. Most of these marriages though were to make alliances and peace between tribes in Arabia, much like Western countries Royalties married among each other to allow long treaties between nations. This was more cultural than religious as this was the only way tribes would trust each other, through marriage. He only married one virgin (which was ordered by God) and the rest of his wives were mainly taken on as a protection and to make alliances as I earlier mentioned, some of these were old widows that he did not have any sexual relation with. This hardly seems like a person after lust and as many woman as he can get.

It was not 22 wives, the consensus is the Prophet had a total of 11 wives over his lifetime and he was able to fulfill the rights of all his wives. In the Bible Soloman had 100+ wives, does that make him less of an important figure in Christianity and Judaism, or he still considered a great religious figure? Also, Christianity does not limit the number of wives, but Islam does to 4 which was shocking at the time to the Arabs as well. Today Christians only marry one but that was adopted from Roman laws- because of this you have so much fornication and cheating in western society. If certain men in the world were allowed to marry more than one (as many men desire this) you would see much less heartbreak, divorces, fornication, etc. that is prevalent in western society. So not only Islam has the cure for this but Christianity and Judiasm, if you just followed the true teachings of your Books and past. By the way it is recommended to only marry one! Islam is the only religion to say this in its book, the Quran. 99.9999999% of Muslims only have one wife.

There are many benefits to polygamy, i.e. take care of widows, ensure all women can find a spouse (since women out number men), if many men die in wars this would save the community since the surviving men can marry more than one, some woman lack certain characteristics or have other issues/problems and have trouble finding a husband so they may prefer to be a second wife to some man rather than being alone their whole life... who will take care of these poor women??? These are all extreme things, but very possible and do happen. Islam therefore allows such women to be taken care of through Marriage and certain mens desires to be fulfilled. For the most part though, taking on a second wife is a big headache and more of a duty on men rather than of pleasure, this was the main reason it was practiced in the time of the Prophet PBUH.

Also, Allah in the Quran mentions that Muhammad SAW was allowed to have more than 4 wives to make things easy for him (i.e. to form alliances). Women were literally throwing themselves at him and he did not even marry most of these women, but would marry them off to other Men that wanted to get married.

Also please note that Islam came about at a time when girls were buried at birth because they had little worth and were seen as problematic only. Women were exulted in this time when Islam came, 1400 years before any woman rights movements. Women have so much respect and more rights in Islam then men, even the right to vote was given to Women first in Muslim countries before it was given in the West in modern times. As far as certain rights, if a woman works and makes money that money is hers alone, her husband can't have any of it unless she approves. But if a man works then that money he makes is due to his wife, she has rights to it. This all came about at a time when the biggest discussion in Christianity was if women had a soul and had the right to go to heaven at all. Christianity also blames Eve for the sins of man (original sin as they beleive) due to her persuading Adam to eat/take from the tree in the Garden of Eden. Islam rejects this and puts the blame on both Adam and Eve. So we were light years ahead of women rights from day one compared to Christianity. That is just the truth.... think about how women are shown in western society, naked, sexual objects and then think of our women... who is closer to meeting the descriptions of the Bible and the Virgin Mary (who Muslims believe was the purist and best woman that ever lived)?

They claim our women are oppressed because they must where the head scarves, but their own books say the same thing... Nun's must be so oppressed too... (actually they are because they can't marry, they wait for the return of Jesus to be his wife is what several believe in). This is just the tip of the iceberg...
