once a shaykh told that: “Paradise is only two steps away. Put one step on the Nafs (carnal desires/inner-self) and the other step will automatically land in paradise.”

.i heard another shaykh describe nafs like a horse.whoever controls it reaches his destination.whoever cannot is thrown off to the ground.where he lies covered in dirt(humiliation and shame)
