Lips *must* move when reciting during prayer/salah

:salam2:,

It should be known that while performing Prayer, at least one has to move the lips with the recitation. Many say that while performing Prayer one has to recite with the lowest voice with which one can hear oneself recite.

As for offering the prayer while reciting in the mind or heart, one's Prayer is invalid because recitation is one of the pillars of Prayer, bearing into consideration that reciting or reading indicates moving the lips with the recitation.

*its not only for reciting Surah Fatiha but complete salah.

Sometimes I used to recite the surahs in my heart. I hope Allah forgives me and that my prayers are valid.Jazak Allah Khairun for informing such an important thing. Will surely remember this. :tti_sister:

I'm not what you believe
salam 'alikum, the prophet(SAWS)asked to Ibn al Malik:what are hey searching for, those who turn their sight to the sky during the prayer?!He cried out:It's better for them to stop that, cause they risk to lose their sight in the Day of Judgement(this hadith was reported from Al-bukhari).As it's correct to pronounce all the prayers during Salat,it is also recomndenned not to turn the sight out of the place we are praying. But I must confess that sometimes I recite some verses in my heart, without to speak, because it's comfortable for my senses:I'm also pregnant and lots of times I'm obliged to pray by sitting down, because I feel breathless.I recognize you are right and I want to improve my preyers!
