This is sooo good and a really good healthier option
1 pint boiling water
8 oz sultanas
8 oz chopped dates
8 oz raisins
12 oz margarine
1 1/4 lb (pound) self raising flour
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
broken walnuts to decorate
Put fruit and margarine in a bowl pour in water and leave to soak for 15 minutes.Stirwell.
Add flour, baking powder beaten eggs and mix well. Pour into a 8'' x 11''' oblong tin.decorate with walnuts and place in the middle of oven on gas mark 4. Bake for 1-1 1/2 hours.
