Money earn by rent

Assalam mualaykum, I need some explanation concerning rent, can somebody use this kind of money to perform Hajj. or can some body direct me to where in quran or Hadith I can find the answer. I have done my own research,unfortunately I did not find what I am looking for , I did ask a few people but it is still not clear as their views differ. Let put it this way is money earn through rent is Halal or Haraam?

Why would it be haraam to do hajj with rent money?

As-salam brother, I do not think it is haram. You invested your money like other businesses. Here you are not charging any interest. I think it is kind of someone buying a product from you and paying for that.
