To be honest, I really don't like these native deen songs. First of all, they use music(which is haram). Secondly, they imitate the disbelievers.

I'm sorry brother, but I don't think Music is haram in our religion, or to rephrase not all music is Haram. As Yusuf Islam has said, it's just different schools of thought regarding Music. There is not clear cut explanationg about shunning music in the Qu'ran nor in the hadith. So since it's not clear, I don't see the point of calling music Haram.

First of all, you haven't offended me, but it does kinda get tiresome when people claim that music is halal, when the evidence is overwhelming. I won't inundate you with proofs as you could easily find it using the search function at the top of the page. But here's just one hadith for you to think about:

Narated By Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari : That he heard the Prophet saying,

"From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful."

Just look at the context in which music is included in. Alongside fornication and the drinking of Alcohol!

Well of course Yusuf Islam is gonna say that, hes the one creating the damned music.

Anyways, in which school of thought is it thought to be permissible, and wheres the proof?

Those music issues been dicussed before, and one thread reached over 10 pages and the people who said music is not haram didng give a single evideance rathar thier feelings of bieng not haram... Music is haram evidence been given from Quran and sunnah, and even of some scholars said haram while the other said its not, you go back to other hadith that said if anything in between haram and halal just leave it.... so brothers and sisters plz use ur mind rathar than ur heart... and i know how ppl love music... I used to love it more than anyone in this forum, and when i knew its haram i left it, maybe not leaving it immeditly but step by step....
