Wheat Transactions
Someone asked Nasreddin to be false witness.
"I will give you 20 dirhams if you want to be my witness that I give loans on wheat to him"
"Ok. But give me the money first"
Nasreddin and the man faced the judge who apparently had been bribed by that man too. After asking a few questions, the judge then questioned the witness.
"Did you actually see the transaction?"
"Yes, I see clearly that sacks containing flour changed hands"
"But this is the case of wheat, not flour!"
"It does not matter. As long as the claims filed lied and provided false testimony, what's the difference between wheat and flour?"
