QUESTION

:salam2:

Okay here is the question I just wanted to know how people deal with school, house work, husband and kids when they are in a very challenging career that needs more attention and focus and you have like 6 or 7years to complete.

Do you wait till you graduate to have kids [is this acceptable in Islam]
How can you manage being a full time student [in med school] at the same time full time housewife ie satisfying your husband needs+chores? Being a full time student is equivalent to having a full time job.

Anyone in this kind of situation that can share some of their experiences preferably people who are married ;)

I’m not married yet but I need some enlightenment soon inshallah...Jazaakumullahu kheiran in advance:)

Wa aleikum salam sister

I know what you mean family is definitely important but if you were a student before your husband came along and you have few years to go after your husband comes along then there is nothing wrong with that. Besides no husband Is evil enough to ruin your education. When your children are young that's understandable, then you can devout yourself to being a full time mother but your kids will surely grow and get married and that’s when your degree comes in handy.:hearts:

I'm not married either and This question would be nice if married one answer, but I think It depends on how organized and motivated u are. Nothing comes easy in this world, so it wouldnt be easy but it worth to do both. I'm a full time student and work also, and I cant see my self without career insha allaah when I have a family. I have many freinds who are married, mothers work full time, and raise a beautiful children, so it depends yr choice of life and also yr husband. I think u can do it if u have support and ready to handle it.

In the east country the big probleme about divorsse is the job of wife because she'll not serve any one as well .in quran Allah order the women to stay at home and to prayer him and in sunna our profete "sw" say: any one is responsable in his family...." and it's very hard or almost impossible to get three thing at all . :girl3:

the aya that brother massi mentioned is from Surah Al Ahzab:

033.033 And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey God and His Apostle. And God only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

Salam..

Well I think it depends on how u juggle with ur time.. When i was staying by myself, I find time to read the Quran. I do it at nite after Im done w Isyak till like 12+am.
Most of the time, Im working from morning till evening.. And I try to study on weekends. DO things esp w/o any disturbances would be the best as doesnt distract u.. Im not yet married though. Try socialising during the day but make sure ur housewrk are done before u leave home..

But if u have kids, find time w them during weekends. make sunday as a family day..n a day as ur personal day.. Hope this helps..!
