Questions? should we or not?

Assalamwalaykum,
I've heard and read this thing many a times that we're not supposed to ask too many questions regarding our religion?

but am a bit confused over it.

if we don't ask questions in matters we don't know about how we'll be able to know the solutions of our confusions?

or is the interpretation something else?

brother, it means don't ask silly, pointless and useless questions aiming to make things complicated or create confusion or mischief rather than the intention of learning the deen. like JEWS used to ask i.e. as in matter of cow when Allah SWT ordered them to slaughter one. dont do too much debate and pointless talk on Islamic matters as already we have direct orders from Allah SWT and they are clear.
