Just out of curiosity, have any rulings been done about fasting for diabetics during Ramadan? I was only recently diagnosed with this conditions and would like some advice on this. Thank you.

I am diabetic also and this will be my first Ramadan. My imam has told me that if it becomes harmful for me it will become haram for me to continue. I have fasted a couple of days here and there since I've taken my shahadah and it seems to be OK, but as my imam said, "Ramadan is not a day here and a day there...".
