Sister Rayray, actually there are a few of Arabic words also used in other languages too such as Malay language.

For examples: in Malay, magazines are called majalah as in Arabic, it is al-majalaat. Tarikh (in Malay means date) while in Arabic Al-taarikh means history (which has something to do with the date too). Waktu (in Malay means time) and it is the same as in Arabic al-waqtu.

BTW, Sister, is Tagalog your mother's tongue?
