AsSalaamUalaikum,
Test first
Can you read the following verses using the madinah mushaf (modern arabic uthmani script as opposed to the indopak Nastaleeq script):
1. Surah 18 Al-Kahf, verse 88.
2. Surah 45 Al Jathiya, verse 9.
3. Surah 46 Al Ahqaf, verse 4.
4. Surah 11 Al-Hud, verse 41.
5. Suarh 12 Yusuf, verse 11.
Now follow the recitation with a Qari.
You'll notice the recitation is not as it appears. There are no markers to point out rules for test 1. 2. and 3. (unlike the indopak Nastaleeq script) except test 4 (a solid black dot under the RA for madinah and an alif under the RA in indopak) and 5 (again solid black dot on top of the MEEM for madinah but no marker in indopak).
Can someone explain the rules? (Test 1. occurs twice in Surah Al-Kahf which most of us read every Friday see if you can find the other one). Its the only one I understand and can recognise.
The others I'm still figuring out.
An excellent site MaShallaah:
abouttajweed.com/
( abouttajweed.com/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=442
discusses some of these points)
Another example:
6. Surah 41 Fussilat, verse 44.
There are also places where diamonds occur!
Solid black ones and hollow ones but I've misplaced them!
Can someone find them and kindly return them ? (and explaining their significance gives you bonus points using as simple terms as possible).
JazakallaahKhair.
